I think that all this time Bob has actually just been a mass hallucination. Or possibly a running joke: Matt left and MCR hired that James guy and he said "wouldn't it be funny if we pretended my name was Bob and that I had blue eyes and blond hair? We could, like, dress up an inflatable doll and pretend it's your new drummer Bob!" And then it got all out of control, right? With pretend interviews (Ray would throw his voice, and Frank would make the doll's mouth move by sekritly pulling a hidden string) and photoshoots where they'd do some massive Photoshopping of the pictures and whatnot. But then this summer everyone got distracted with having babies and making a new record, so they forgot to keep posting Twitter posts as 'Bob' and forgot to tell photographers to be sure to take pictures of 'Bob.'
Woe. :( I got very attached to 'Bob.' I will miss being fooled into believing he exists.
