turpsI'm sure it's no surprise but I have an unholy love for Gerard and Mikey and how much they adore one another. This was from a report from the recent Comic Con.
Mikey Way said he looks up to his older brother. "Everything I do is inspired by him," he said, describing himself as the Tonto to Gerard's Lone Ranger. The "Umbrella Academy" writer laughed about their childhood, saying that he used to dress up as Robin while Mikey was Batman, resulting in a mismatched role reversal for the brothers. Gerard said of Mikey: "He's my best friend and he inspires me every single day."
My heart!
Then there's the times that Gerard gets a little handsey.
But my favourites are when it's just plain obvious they adore one another.

Hey, that might be why Bob looks so happy and smug and tail-waggy.

Oh man, Mikey/Bob/Gerard fic.
The Ways are high-maintenance, we all know that. But Bob doesn't care, he happily makes sure Mikey doesn't get blown up and takes his meds and actually eats sometimes and is there for Gerard to talk to and sit with during the nights he can't sleep. Bob does that because he loves them, and they love him and they've got a happy threesome going on and sometimes, when it's a hotel night and he's lying in the middle of the bed, Mikey against one side, Gerard the other, he thinks he's the luckiest man ever!
But of course something needs to happen because the Ways are actually more than capable of stepping up when needed, so maybe, there is illness or Bob going through a rough time and he's not used to that, because he's always been so mentally solid and they're like, it's okay to be sad or rest a while. We've got you.
