Day 8 In your own space, make a list of at least 3 things that you like about yourself. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I can laugh at myself and often do. I do, say and like ridiculous things at times. And that's just fine.
I said this last year too, but it still stands. I like what I like, and don't care if anyone judges me for that.
Finally, I like my saggy belly and my bingo wings and my collar bones that are starting to emerge. Because they may not be what the media says is perfect, but to me they're evidence of a successful hard decision and a lot of work.
Before I forget yet again. Thank you to
sperrywink,
msktrnanny and
eledhwenlin for the holiday cards. They may have been the tail ends, but they were all very much enjoyed.
It's been a nice day today, cold but sunny so I've been out for a short walk, and a long conversation with one of our neighbours and his dog. Visited mam, washed, dried and put away a load of clothes and finished off the last of the Christmas fresh veggies by making a carrot and parsnip curry soup. I also made a batch of that yesterday which was delicious, but does mean I'll have loads of the stuff to eat in the next few days.
I also started to read the popslash christmas exchange stories and can highly recommend Let Nothing You Dismay by
brandywine which was very funny and perfect for a Christmas story. Also, has some of the best visual images ever!
Now I'm off to write some more drabbles. Or double drabbles. Or even triple. The sky's the limit, really.

Date: 2017-01-08 08:07 pm (UTC)Cold, sunny days are so nice. That soup sounds delicious. And you could always put it in the freezer? Most soups are excellent for freezing.
Good luck with the writing!

You're right, they do. I've spent a long time fighting against myself, and it feels great that I don't do that any more.
