The photos that are coming out from Big Day Out are delighting me.



Gerard the pirate showing belly and underwear, and of course freshly dyed hair. Then Mikey with the sparkle bass and hair straight from the school of boy bands. Man, I love them.

The bandom kink meme continues to be amazing with fabulous prompts and fills. romantical responded to one of my prompts with a scorching hot Mikey/Pete biting fic. Sink Your Teeth In one where she shamelessly exploited things I'd been talking about on twitter, and I'm so glad that she did because, damn. *fans self*

I also wrote my own fill for one of the prompts. So you know, if you want to read 2k of un-beta read eventual Gerard/Ray it's right here. It was one of those stories that just come out of nowhere. Writing has been like pulling teeth lately which is why it was such a lovely surprise when I started to write, and looked up later and saw how much I'd actually written.

I also uploaded more of my old popslash stories to AO3, hopefully they'll all be up there soon.

Just got an email from LJ saying they were going to purge one of my accounts. After the initial, the fuck? reaction I went to see and apparently it's one I created in 2004 and never touched. All this time I could have been using it to sock vote on polls *g*

Okay, need to go get ready now as we're taking mam to the hospital to get her cast checked. Another morning of waiting, but on the plus side, I'll get to finish my book. Also, grocery shopping on the way home so I can get milk for my coffee.

Van/early days are the grossest. One of my twitter friends met the band earlier and said that Frank and Mikey smelled amazing, like flowers and love. How things have changed.

The Pete/Mikey felled me in how hot it was. So many of my buttons were pushed but good. By the time I'd finished reading I was flushed.

That, or they have a very different idea of what flowers and love smell like. I mean, there are tropical flowers that smell like rotting meat, as that's what attracts their pollenators. Uh, not that I think Frank and Mikey smell like rotting meat O__O, of course.

I wonder what colour his hair is going to end up being. The new cut is making him look like a little boy so it will be interesting to see if the colour will add or detract from that :-)

That's such a perfect description. A lot of people don't seem to like his hair at the moment but I do. It looks healthy and most importantly, flippy.

It actually went very fast. I was surprised.

I suspect for a long, embarrassing time they don't really talk because they're both at the 'holy shit, did I just do that?' stage.

Otter, Mikey and Frank would put up for it for so long until they not so accidentally lock Gerard and Ray in the van for the most mottsy talk *ever* but after that things are better.

Which begins months of fail courting. Where the sex is easy -- like, really easy and hot and awesome even if the others spent hours complaining about needing brain bleach -- but working out actual emotions is harder, and happens over gifts of chips, soda and drinking coffee sitting on picnic tables in the middle of the night.

Tumblr was up in arms about a picture supposedly showing Gerard with purple hair now. Seeing the picture in question, I think they're going insane, or blind. You can't even tell it's him.

I truly love Gerard in this photo because, srsly, DORKIEST PAIR OF UNDIES EVER. I can't stop squeeing at his \o/ and the hair is gorgeous too.

Mikeyway's boybander!do isn't bad. It so happens that I prefer the sharper cut of the WTC days. It's not even like he needs ALL THE HAIRSPRAY to style it either. Maybe he's decided to grow it out after BDO and that's why it's so floppy here. Mind you, I'm taking the weather into consideration. Overall, though, I wish he'd given it more oomph.

And now I'm gonna go coo at his SPARKLE!BASS AND ARM!PORN. *sits back and enjoys*

Mikey's hair did look very floppy, and often very shiny. Maybe he was trying out some new shampoo. It was stated he smelled nice *g*
