A day in the life meme -- day one
Mar. 29th, 2012 09:43 amOkay, so, a day in the life meme. One in which you'll be bored stiff while boggling at just how bad I am at taking photos. And you lucky people have six more days of this to come.
The first thing I do after stumbling down the stairs like a mole person is switch on the kettle and make James' packed lunch for work. When that's done I make tea for him, coffee for me.
We have a few of those yellow mugs as James keeps winning Real Radio call in competitions, probably because not many people are calling into radio stations at the time he's driving to work. Sadly I used the last Real Radio teabag this morning so that box is in the recycling now.

After James goes to work I have an hour before Corey gets up, so I have coffee number two while starting the day with the breakfast crew on twitter. I don't actually sit in the dark, the camera had turned itself onto a night setting, which I didn't even know existed until now, and I don't sit reading my own tweets either. Just, most people I follow have locked accounts so I wasn't going to use a picture of my timeline.

And check my torrent site for the days TV download.

For breakfast I had tomato and coleslaw on toast. Om nom nom. I tend to have tomato on toast for breakfast most days, adding vinegar on top if we've no coleslaw.

Putting on some music while I do stuff in the house. I was in a FOB mood yesterday.

I made buns later. This is the bread mix before it's kneaded and then left to rise.

I made a fruit salad while the dough was rising for the first time. Not a very good fruit salad I have to admit as I didn't have many ingredients, but still, fresh pineapple will always be delicious.

Fruit salad made and buns about to be set in the sunshine to rise for the last time.

The finished product. I had one of them with chicken soup for dinner, hot, fresh bread buns. So good.

The garden is looking a bit sad and neglected right now. Winter has left its mark, but soon things will be lovely again, and look at Tex's bush, it's growing like crazy :D

The dry washing which I'd hung out in the morning. The sun was just starting to set and it was really beautiful outside.

We'd had our tea, someone was giving out the hints that it was time for cats to eat, too.

My plan for the night was bath and book/emails/writing etc. What actually happened was Corey started to pull his Jason costume together, something he needed for today. Which is why I ended up working on this, and he was out in the garden dragging old clothes through the dirt.

After that we headed to bed because I'm just that lame and I need my sleep.
