turpsI still have week in my life meme photos to upload and post. Though I have to admit I only have two more days worth so it's more five days in my life. Maybe I'll surprise you with two days sometime in the future. It'll be the meme that never dies.
Those two days do include the drive in that I went to with James last Saturday. It's a mobile one that sets up in a field in the local nature reserve/park, and it really was a lot of fun. I can definitely recommend watching Top Gun from the comfort of your car.
Not much else has been happening. Corey's off for the Easter holidays and at the beginning of last week the beautiful spring weather we'd been having changed to lying snow. At one point the snow was coming down almost horizontal due to the wind, and it was very much like we'd stepped back into the worst of winter within a day. Thankfully that's ended now, and we're back to wet, grey weather.
I also got the most amazing parcel fromsperrywink containing a valentine and birthday gift. I now have a set of garden tools which are hot pink \o/ I so badly want to get out in the garden and plant bulbs and repot seedlings and get everything tidied up for summer. It's one of the best gifts I've ever received, because I have the best friends ever &Kimberly;
I've started writing my bbb at last -- Frank/Mikey, because it seems all my BBBs need to be that pairing -- andkopperblaze has been suckered in to being my alpha reader again. She sends me words, I send her words, we both tweet that we're tired and not writing tonight but promise we will the next day. It works. She sends me such great stuff, Frank/Mikey, Frank/Mikey/Gerard, Mikey/Pete. She's a girl after my own heart.
I'm also still working my way through the BRBBs with one break away to read a BFF story, though I'm very much looking forward to reading the rest, because gen fic is great.
One of my favourite BRBBs that I've read recently isromanticalgirl's Suddenly Last Summer. It's Pete/Mikey and I love that it deals with the fact that Pete did say he was gay above the waist only. It also reads very real to me, something that could easily have happened. It really is a fantastic story, I recommend it highly.
Also,pocus offered ficlets and I asked for one based on the Mikey and Gerard photo for Illuminate Parkinson's, and I got that and it's amazing. ETA: That link is locked, I'm sorry for being a link tease :(
Then the was the new Iero baby to celebrate. I loved seeing the reaction to the news, such an outpouring of happiness for Frank and Jamia. I'm also very impressed that the people who saw Jamia at Lindsey's art show apparently kept the secret. Way to go those fans letting Frank announce it in his own way.

I love that photoshoot so much. It's lots of fun to get a "new" photo from it. (It always reminds me of that story where the Ways are related to the Addams family :-)
The photo of Gerard and Ray and Mikey is hilarious. Gerard looks like some homeless bum who's wandered into the store by mistake! And I hope you're aware that the reason you like Mikey's short so much is because Chris used to wear the same sort of too-long shorts :-P

Honestly, Gerard looks like he walked out of a set of a 1940s movie about an American ex-pat who makes a living in Paris by painting nudes. *g* Ray is sweetly happy. But it's Mikeyway and his leg-showing (!) what kept me staring at that pic when it first made the rounds. Hee!

Gah, yeah. I know she was photographed -- but at a distance -- watching them play a few times so was obviously out and about. And Ray's frustration at the spotty net connection makes more sense now, as I'm sure Frank was suffering just as badly needing to talk to Jamia and see how she was.
Their family delights me so much. Frank the father of three :D
