I got a call yesterday to say James and all the scouts are safely in France. They were about two hours behind schedule as they had to get bumped back to the 4am ferry but when we talked he was sitting having breakfast in the sunshine at some service station, and sounding very happy with his lot. After all the lists and packing he only managed to go without his blue tooth ear piece for his phone, which he doesn't really need, so, that was a win for sure.

No doubt he'll be calling again some time tonight to let me know what they've been up to. Though last message I got it was raining really hard over there.

In the last couple of days two stories have been posted that I found ridiculously hot.

romanticalgirl wrote Feels Like the Very First Time which is Gerard/Mikey set now and is also everything I love about that pairing.

The second was written for me \o/ Scars on my Honey by akamine_chan who asked for prompts on her birthday and then wrote them. I asked for Could you write hot, messy MCR GSF where Mikey is the focus of them all? Fucked, sucked & held down. and the story delivers in spades. Good gsf -- by which I mean actual gsf that involves everyone interacting and not just two couples having sex in the same room /pet peeve -- is hard to find, but this isn't good gsf, it's amazing gsf.

James phoned late last night and said the youngest group got to walk to the mountain hut yesterday. A 5 hour walk in rain that was horizontal, and they'd been told to only take a small pack with a change of undies & t-shirt, no wet weather gear. Poor little kids :(

I'm hoping the rain eases off, already they're having an interesting trip with the youngest kids walking to the mountain hut in rain that was horizontal at times and two people having to be taken to hospital.

She really does, and this one is one of my favourites she's ever written.

Writing gsf is really hard. When I did so for Embers I was pulling my hair out during the sex scenes. Which is why I'm so impressed when it's done so well. And you did it beautifully.
