I've watched a ridiculous amount of TV this week. Finished the season of Castle, started watching Revenge, am making my way through season 2 of Parks and Recreation, season 5 of The Sopranos, a re-watch of season two Haven, some Leverage, two eps of The Big C, one of Nurse Jackie, kept watching more of The Wire, the last ep of Game of Thrones and have downloaded new Teen Wolf. My head is stuffed full of TV.
What I should do is get a start on wave 3 of BBB but I can't seem to do that before I finish wave 1. My stupid brain needs to realise it's possible to work on two things at once. However, I have been writing, a few words on a wip and a Gerard/Patrick ficlet for Turlough which is now here.
James' trip with the scouts doesn't seem to be going smoothly this year. The weather has been bad so the usual trip to the cable cars has been cancelled, a group of the youngest scouts had to walk to the mountain hut in rain that was coming down horizontally at one point and yesterday James was told he couldn't take part in the kyaking ( sp? ) because the instructors were scared of his disability. And I get where they're coming from, but it has to be frustrating for James when he's used to being so independent when he's at home. Today one of the buses had broken down so the scouts from that bus had to wait until the other bus took half the group back to the chalet and returned for them, a two hour round journey.
Nanna phoned earlier. It's aunty Margaret's funeral on Friday and I was reminded that I was part of the family and therefore expected to sit up front at the church and then go to the crematorium after. Thankfully my brother is going too so I'll catch a lift with him and then we've planned to come home after as neither of us want to go to the wake.
Corey is applying for part time jobs at the moment so we've just spent well over an hour looking for his national insurance number. After emptying every drawer in the living room I found it in the place he'd said he'd looked. Next time I'm going to double check myself first.
