James drove the in-laws to Butlins yesterday and stayed overnight. Which means it was just me and Corey since yesterday morning, and I've done very little apart from pottering around the house, watching some tv and reading. Including the below stories, which are all fantastic.

annemari. This is a gift story for me. A very awesome gift story with dragons and lovely Way bro moments and Frank/Mikey getting together. It's like she knows me or something.

Love Like This by

inlovewithnight This is gorgeous and achy and feels very real. Mikey/Alicia where Mikey's dealing with a change in his meds. There's a part that deals with the difference between Alicia's love for Mikey and Gerard's ( brotherly only ) that feels just perfect.

Last Chance at Love by

eledhwenlin Brendon/Spencer where they meet on a dating show. It's all kinds of adorable.

Not Smashing Windows by

inlovewithnight. My comment at twitter when I'd just finished this was, wow. I stand by that reaction now. Her Gabe voice reads so true, and it's one of the best takes on Mikey in his scene days that I've read. I suspect some people will be put off due to the focus being only on Gabe and through his eyes, Mikey, but they shouldn't be, because this story is the best Gabe story I've read.

While I've thanked everyone personally I'd like to say again, thank you to everyone who said something about Corey's results. There were so many of you, new friends and those who's read along as I've talked about him over many, many years. A lot of you have been there as he went to primary school, then secondary school, and now college. Fandom gets a bad rap sometimes, but to me it's a fantastic thing, and has brought me many friends, ones who've stuck around through fandom changes, and I just want you to know I think you're all amazing ♥

Every time you mention Butlins (or I see a mention of it elsewhere) I think of your holiday camp story. It was so much fun!
