Frank's blog post. I can't wait to hear those songs, but more than that, I love what he says about the band. It had to have sucked back then, and it feels right that these songs will finally be released.

I keep comparing the two group shots. Frank ditched his jacket and found a fedora. Gerard flipped his shirt right-side-out and switched jackets. Mikey ditched the serious look, put on sunglasses, and got smiley. Ray changed shirts and relaxed. Everyone is so SERIOUSLY SMOKING HOT in the first group shot and then HAPPILY SMOKING HOT in the second.

Am I the only one who's sort of perplexed by the sight of Ryan Ross wearing full hockey gear? I just kinda have a hard time meshing the guy in the pic with the Ryan Ross I 'met' when I first got in Bandom (who was the one wearing ALL THE EYE MAKEUP EVER and wearing pretty ridic clothing and scarves. *hands*)

Dunno why (could've been the whole blog post by Frank and Conventional Weapons and Mikeyway's interview where he talks about covering David Bowie songs, idek), but I kinda overlooked the RS Japan shoot?

Mind you, I was AWARE it existed, I even looked at it. Still, it wasn't until I saw the pics in this post that I got all SLKFJASLFKJASLKFGURGLELFKJSLDFKJSALFDK.

You gotta love Mikeyway's pants. HE LIKES ALL THE SHINY THINGS, OK? AND, IF THAT EXTENDS TO ITEMS OF CLOTHING, THAT'S IS PERFECTLY FINE! LOL.

I also might've squeed about Frank wearing a fedora! OH, FRANK, JUST KILL ME WITH SOME MORE CUTENESS VIA HAT WEAR, WHY DON'T YOU?

Also, this isn't going to be surprise AT ALL, but the FIRST thing I thought as soon as I'd looked at all those pics is that this was set in your supermodel!Mikeyway 'verse.

Like, Mikeyway got a really great contract for a brand of Japanese sunglasses, right? So he heads over to Japan. Gerard comes along because he's his manager, Frank comes along because he's the boyfriend (plus he's heard the Japanese hardcore scene is AWESOME) and Ray comes to Japan because he's Mikeyway's actual bodyguard (the contract is THAT GOOD) and also because Ray/Japan = OTP.

The Japanese love the whole Roboboy thing (though not in the same mean-spirited way that the US and UK tabs do). So the least thing Mikeyway expects is the shoot happening at this random bike garage. It's weird but badass. When Frank asks him what he thought it was going to be like, Mikeyway shrugged and said something along the lines of "maybe a spaceship set or some android-like makeup. And, like, me acting like a robot while wearing a dark purple corset under an edgy jacket?"

Frank sort of makes a mental note to place an order with Mikeyway's favourite corsetier for a dark purple number. He takes a sip of coffee and hopes no one notices his hard-on this early in the morning.

Mikeyway is called over to make-up and, as he walks to the trailer, he turns around and gives Frank a quizzical look that doesn't help Frank with making his dick grow soft. Bad!Mikeyway. >:D!

In the beginning, the photographer warms Mikeyway up by taking goofy pics of Frank and Ray on the bikes as well as all four of them hanging around while the crew sets up lights elsewhere.

At one point, the photographer sets Gerard outside for a test shoot and Gerard goes along 'cause, like, what's he's going to say? "Thanks but that's not for me?" People are usually drawn to Mikeyway as soon as he walks into the room and Gerard likes hanging in the background. But, fuck it, he's in Japan, the pic isn't going to be published anywhere so he sits down and smokes a couple of cigs, pointedly ignoring Frank giggling on the side.

Everyone has an awesome time and then head to a yummy restaurant followed by some SRS BIZNESS shopping. Gerard gets a lot of dream!jackets, Frank buys some books and a fedora similar to the one he wore in the shoot, Mikeyway finds a few amazing boots (when Frank kinda growls about having to carry yet ONE MORE BAG of Mikeyway's boots, Mikeyway leans over and whispers that he'll pick a pair to wear to bed tonight. Frank growls some more. Mikeyway straightens up and calmly suggests going by the lingerie store that's two blocks up so that Gee can get something for Lindsey...and maybe pick up something extra for himself. He winks at Frank who simply mumbles "the things I do for you".)

As for Ray? Well, it takes some heavy bribing, but the rest of the guys manage to keep him from spending his life savings in tech gadgets. (Make that BARELY manage).

It is weird seeing Ryan in hockey gear. He didn't seem like a sports fan for the longest time, and then suddenly he's not only into sports but playing them too. It's like, what? This isn't the Ryan I thought I knew.

Oh man, the robo boy not fic is amazing! Seriously, I saw it and just flailed for the longest time as it all fits so beautifully. I especially like the corset detail, and how teasing Mikey is with Frank. And hee, the shopping and complaining about carrying more bags and just everything. I love it so much.
