I know they amuse Babycakes and this is close to home for her and Castalie so I have to post about another Corey saying that made me lol today. We were playing video games and talking about where my online friends live. So I'm just sitting when he says 'they eat Foxes legs in France.' I just looked at him thinking foxes legs? So I asked who told him that and he said that one of his friend's mam had told him and they snapped the legs off and ate them. How I didn't laugh I don't know. I bet you wouldn't get much of a meal from a fox leg, and what I want to know is what happens to the foxes once their legs are snapped off? *g*

Posted the drabbles for boyband 100 tonight, they're behind the cut, one bsb one nsync.

The doubts only surface in the dead of night, when the last hanger-on has gone and his face aches with smiling. Switching on the TV, Chris channel surfs, delaying the inevitable until tiredness wins by letting unwelcome thoughts intrude into his mind. --JC and Justin making albums, Joey acting, Lance taking over the world one party at a time. In the daylight he’s proud, but at night he becomes lost in memories of what they’d been and tries to forget what they are now, four men increasingly wrapped up in their own lives, with Chris nothing but a lonely spectator.

The snow is thick, crunching underfoot as Kevin walks. Pushing his gloved hands deep into his pockets he stops, tipping his head back so he can watch fat flakes drift to the ground, each one sparkling against the night sky. Obeying a childish impulse he opens his mouth, catching snow on his tongue then snaps it shut when he hears laughter. Sheepish, Kevin sees Nick walking towards him, nose and cheeks bright red and wrapped up in multiple layers of clothes, clothes that will soon be scattered on their bedroom floor if Kevin knows Nick – and he does, very well.

Thank you :)

I like doing the drabbles, the only thing is it makes me lazy about writing the longer stuff...sigh.

Anything over 100 words seems long now *g*

I know what you mean about them making you lazy lol On the rare occasion I manage to restrict myself to 100 words, it usually means I'm using a perfectly good bunny that could be drawn out abd only using it for a drabble. It's apathy in my case mainly though lol

It's official, Corey's so cute! If he asks, tell him it tastes like chicken :D

It reminds me of a story a friend was telling me. Her son had seen his cousin kill a blackbird ('merle' in French). At dinner, with the whole strict family, he asked if they would be eating the 'merde' tonight ('merde' = shit). The family was not amused because they didn't understand his mistake (he's known for being very disrespectful, they thought he was criticizing the food).

*smiles fondly* I love kids.

Thank you! I will tell him that ;)

It just amuses me how easy it is to get misconceptions about things. If he hadn't said that he might have grown up thinking fox legs were something that were eaten.

LOL at your story about the blackbird. Poor little guy, doing nothing wrong and still being in trouble. You know I've often heard people say/write merde and never knew what it meant. Thanks for cluing me in.

what happens to the foxes once their legs are snapped off? *g*

It grows back. Thanks to the Tchernobyl thingy - plus we're a nation with a lot of nuclear energy, which we're using for economic purposes, like making foxes' legs grow back after we severed them for culinary reasons. The associations for animal protection just gave France a praise thanks to that - saving little foxes' legs, and also making animal skin grow back after they've been skinned... lots of research involved and now thanks to French research women can safely wear fur. :P

Whoa! You can grow fox legs back in France! Now that's amazing!

I'm very tempted to tell Corey that, but I fear I'll warp him for life *g*

*serious* actually this is classified information. You should not be sharing it with Corey, he's too young to know The Truth.

*in a low voice* Remember how some Americans scientists grew or tried to grew chicken with four legs? We're currently trying to do that in France. Foxes with four legs that will grow back - can you imagine what it will mean for those merchants?

Mmmm... I think the fox will become a regular, just like the kinky purple and blue butterfly and the kinky metal suit.

Now back to being silly *hops back to work*

Very Nice!

These are so good; you do an outstanding job of inserting the reader and getting them to understand an entire situation without any set-up. Bravo!

*sigh* I love falling snow... .._so_ romantic...

And more scarily real Chris pain... ..and Lance taking over the world *snicker*... ..I spent my entire lunch hour writing a whole page of notes for the MX/sdb crossover (a page is a LOT of notes for me, lol)... ..methinks this could be a Christmas present... ..except I'm already booked solid...

Still, it's hysterical fun....!! *GRIN*

These are so good

Thanks :)

I really like drabbles, but like I was saying in another comment I think they make me lazy at times. The time it takes me to get the words just right and the correct length I could have written part of a longer story. But, I enjoy them and in the end that's all that matters.

I love snow too, when you're looking up and watching it drift down. It's when it gets slushy and slippery I hate it.

Yay to the notes! I'm getting so excited that this may actually be written! I've just finished reading a story where Justin laid some eggs and hatched two daughters, and despite sounding ridiculous it was a good story. Lance was the dad *g* So if that can be done a MX/sdb cross is almost normal as well as being so much fun to think about.

That's what I like with people from other countries, when they talk about your own. I always learn new things about France and the French customs, or I start to think about things I never really paid attention before! lol

We eat foxes legs, then? Know what? I think it tastes like chicken! lol

Corey is still my favorite little guy- go Corey!

Corey is still my favorite little guy- go Corey!

He is wonderful, if a smart ass at times :)
