Just came home from shopping, MetroCenter was looking beautiful, all the lights are up and Santa arrived today!

But before we went we had the best news. James had applied for a new job a few weeks ago and he got it this morning! He's going to be a team leader with the inland revenue with better hours and a £5000 a year pay rise.

I was so happy for him. You know three years ago we were on social security, with about £100 a week to live on, our house was rented from the council and we had to use buses to get around. Now we own our own house, car and James is climbing the career ladder. Sometimes I can't believe it. Sure we're mortgaged to the hilt and we'll be paying off debts for years but we don't have to worry about having money to buy food or be warm again and that feels fantastic.

I feel so happy just now. I hope you all feel just as good. *Throws kisses and hugs to flist* then *twirls like Nick*

It's by Lanning, indeed. Actually, each time she posted a new batch of icons, I *always* saw it too late, and I couldn't ever ask for one. Today was no exception. Except that one of the lj user who got this icon saw me crying because I didn't get any, and she offered to share it *g* So, I finally got a zen fen icon! *schnuzzles new icon* I was sooooooooo happy *g*

It's always so wonderful to hear about something good happening to people you care about, just makes my day!

And you and James _should_ be proud, that really is an accomplishment, especially in so short an amount of time.

Thank you! I'm so proud of him! It seems so unreal sometimes, we're not rich by any means, but we're comfortable, and that's awesome.
