Thank you so much to [personal profile] dine, [personal profile] bettina and [personal profile] frausorge for the cards. I loved them a lot ♥

Since I last posted.

James had a birthday, and as per tradition, we put up our tree that day.

As always my sister says it looks like a drag queen has thrown up on it. But, I like it like that.

Photo included so I can give [personal profile] turlough an excuse for her annual complaint about non-white Christmas lights *g*

We did take nanna to MetroCentre to see the lights and she did well walking two of the malls, if very, very slowly. I got my photo taken with her under a beautiful light tree, but sadly as she's so small and was hiding her walking stick behind my back I was all hunched over, and considering I was all dressed in black look like some soul sucking creature looming above her. After we went to our favourite restaurant at the beach side, unfortunately the food wasn't as good as usual, mainly because we were there at the same time as a work's Christmas outing, so I suspect the kitchen was slammed.

James was supposed to start hydro therapy for his bad back, but couldn't go in the water as his blood pressure was sky high. He's getting tests done about that now, but they're having issues as it's hard to take a good reading off his arms.

Our niece stopped over for the first time on Friday night. Through work James had got tickets for them both to the pantomime at Newcastle, and they both had a great time. Keira going off dressed to the nines in her fake animal print fur coat and hot pant suit, James dressed up too, and they ate sweets and shouted at the stage and threw stottie cakes around. James was working Saturday, so I spent the morning watching the Disney channel with her before Corey took her home.

Yesterday I defrosted the freezer, which is one of those jobs I always end up wishing I'd never started long before it's finished. But it's done now and there's actually room for the Christmas food stuff. Plus the gigantic ironing pile was also conquered so I was feeling quite accomplished.

I was in bed one night last week when James woke me up by saying, look, there's our car on the telly. It was the day the storms had hit -- at one point I was sure we were going to lose the greenhouse, but thankfully the ropes held -- and earlier in the day we'd gone to eat dinner overlooking the ocean, something we do often. A lot of other people were there too, but unlike us, weren't in their car in a high carpark, but were standing on the promenade watching the waves crash down only feet away. The news had been there filming them, and got us in shot too. So, our car had a few seconds of fame.

Bandom holidays is still being written and will be finished on time, even if I did think I had one more week than I actually do. /o\

So yeah. Nothing that exciting going on, but that's fine. I'm quite happy enjoying the Christmas stuff and being semi organised for once.

The blue lights are making your tree look positively radioactive this year. Scary!!

*wikis stottie cake* Why were they throwing cakes around at a pantomime? /puzzled foreigner

Go you for defrosting the freezer! I need to do the same but it's such a dreary job I keep putting it off :-/

Heee, your car is famous! (I'm glad to hear the greenhouse survived the storms.)

But since the reveal isn't until 25th, you still have a week to do all the editing it. Good luck in any case.

Your tree is AMAZING.

(What's playing on your TV? I've maybe been trying to figure that out for the last five minutes. :P)

Go you for defrosting the freezer! I avoided that job until the day I moved out, in my last flat, even as the ice layer grew to the point that I couldn't fit anything in anymore and the ice started invading my fridge. :P

Aww, the tree is so shiny! I love it. :DD

I've never defrosted a freezer, somehow my college roommate has always ended up being the one to do it.

I'm glad things have been nice! And yay for bandom holidays! I REALLY need to get to work on that. I want to finish yuletide first, but ahh. /o\

your tree looks fabulous - slightly like it ought to be powering the Tardis, but that's a good thing in my book :)

I hope James is feeling better now - you guys have had one hell of a year on the medical front
