Aug. 19th, 2014 07:18 pmI had an excellent weekend with
sperrywink. We relaxed and got to go to the cinema, to the beach front restaurant I like so much and spent a lot of time chilling out on the couch, eating toast, watching tv and checking out stuff online.
Guardians of the Galaxy was great and I really want to see it again. It's jumped up there as my favourite Marvel movie, even more so than Avengers. We did go to the posh cinema and had many nachos, delicious food, popcorn and pop before being escorted to the comfy couches to watch the movie in imax 3d, something that was really impressive in certain scenes. The only sort of bad thing was I managed to hurt my knee and due to babying it for the rest of the weekend was moving at the speed of a slow tortoise. Which admittedly isn't much better than my usual, but even so.
Sunday we had dinner out, and saw Stormtroopers walking through Seaburn while waiting for James at Morrisons. Sperrywink also swatted a wasp out of the car with her hand, as apparently she has nerves of steel.
Then yesterday she went off to Pen's and left us :(
But, it was a splendid weekend and one I enjoyed a lot. But really, what's up with my friends being oceans away? That's just not on.
So to sum up, I think I need to post a spoilery Groot gif that I love a lot and needs to be in my journal, and also have merch brought out of it already.
I'd tell you how long I've spent looking this gif, but it's kind of embarrassing. I mean, look at him!

He's the best! I've been reading up on GotG canon as related to the rest of the Marvel universe, and am now eager for a movie that's not due out for many years.
