Sperrywink's post reminded me I haven't shared pictures of my tree this year. I mean, it's not Christmas until Turlough's told me my lights are the wrong colour *g*

I also got a new sparkly deer this year. This isn't the best picture of him, but I do like my sparkly deer herd.

Sparkle and Shine



James got his Christmas shifts yesterday. He's working days on Christmas Eve and Boxing day 7:30-7:30 but is off all of Christmas day. He should have been working that day too, but swapped teams early this year, and his old team is getting all of Christmas off after working it for the last few years. So, a condition of him moving was that he got Christmas day off, too. Which I'm glad about. It just means we'll have to do our giving out of gifts on the 23rd and have a late boxing day buffet tea. And hmmmm, I can already taste that turkey, stuffing and mint sauce sandwich.

Things are going nicely around here. Cards will be getting posted tomorrow, most gifts have been bought, my MiL is out of hospital, mam and Kayleigh are actually getting on at the moment and I've watched about 82909373 Christmas films. On the flip side, my dad has hit another downswing and my FiL got so drunk that he collapsed in the street and had to be helped in by neighbours. It's not something he's done before so I'm guessing stress is taking some part.

Finally, I bought James a Chromecast for his birthday, and I'm loving how it means I can watch stuff from my computer on the main TV. Which means we can finally watch last season of Supernatural and the one that's on now. It's a show we always watched together and then it was taken off UK tv, so despite downloading it week to week, I just didn't watch -- but now we can.

I'm off the 25th (working both the 24th and the 26th). NGL, the only reason why I am not grimacing at that is because I'm off for four days the following week. :P

I love sparkly stuff at Christmas. I like to think the sparkly deers will be added to every year. Then we can have sparkly deers everywhere!

You get a sympathetic ouch at those shifts, but a \o/ for the four days off the week after. Any plans or are you just going to relax and do nothing?

Things are going nicely right now. I'm choosing to believe they'll stay that way, too.

YAY for being able to watch Supernatural together again. I hear this season is good.

Kayleigh continues to say my tree looks like a drag queen threw up on it, but I love it like that. It has decorations from friends and family, stuff Corey made at school and so much sparkle it makes me smile when I look at it.

Yeah, I'm really pleased he got Christmas off. The other two days are special, but not as special, and we'll still make them work despite limited time together.

I'm looking forward to a Supernatural marathon at some point. James is such a Dean person, he thinks he's amazing.

Gotta admit I am a Dean person too, but I suspect it is for very different reasons than James, ahahaha. (Jared P. does nothing for me, but I think Jensen is cute as a button).

That is a Most Decorated Tree, for sure! Very festive indeed.

I love the decorations on our tree, especially things like the old, tatty paper lanterns that every school child seems to make.
