Jan. 20th, 2015 05:41 pmJames has been on one of his emergency exercises today. He's now coming home still in full make-up with fake wounds applied. One day he will get stopped doing that and the person doing the stopping is going to have one hell of a surprise.
He was playing dad taxi last night, picking Corey up from the Slipknot concert. The two of them didn't get home until after midnight and as it was a very early start this morning I suspect James will be flat out asleep on the couch as soon as he's back from Slimming World.
While James has been making like a casualty I've been helping Corey start to clear the bedroom. All the books and bookcases are out now and most of the easily moveable stuff, so it means tomorrow the wardrobes will have to be emptied and moved. Though I suspect they may not survive that move, they're already wobbly as it is.
I've also started my picfor1000, and spent ages trying to work out the changes at Gdocs so I could actually open a new document.
I got a call from the doctors earlier saying they wanted to see me to discuss my blood test. As they said they'd only do that if there was an issue I guess the thyroid levels were wrong again. However, as the appointment isn't until the 4th of next month I'm choosing to believe it's nothing that serious.
Well, the casualty has just come in. I'd better go give him a hand before fake blood gets smeared everywhere.

Date: 2015-01-20 06:15 pm (UTC)Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. My heart was racing when I saw it was the doctors calling, but when she said that appointment I figured it couldn't be anything that urgent.

Date: 2015-01-20 09:42 pm (UTC)I know how exhausting moving books and bookcases are and I can well imagine the wardrobes will be even more so. Good luck and I hope they'll keep it together. (I'm so glad I have built-in wardrobes!)
No, making an appointment for two weeks in the future really doesn't sound like it will be anything serious. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you anyway, just in case.

Date: 2015-01-21 09:23 am (UTC)I'd love built-in wardrobes. They'd be so much easier. The bookshelves were such a pain to move. You forget how many books you actually have until you're having to move them all.
Thank you. If they'd wanted me in asap I'd be worried, but as it is not so much.

Date: 2015-01-22 09:35 pm (UTC)Most thyroid problems aren't that serious. I suppose you probably have a hypofunction (did your doctor say anything about it?), that's easy to regulate with meds.

Date: 2015-01-24 02:52 pm (UTC)Well, when she first phoned back in Dec she mentioned under-active thyroid levels, which apparently were the same for the second test. But I saw her yesterday and they're borderline low so it's just a case of three monthly tests. Which I'm fine with.
