Jan. 27th, 2015 04:01 pmRecently I was talking to
sperrywink about the wip meme, and how I only had one actual WIP and a paragraph that I worked on last year then forgot about. After laughing at me she said I should do the meme anyway, so I have.
This is cheating as it's from my picfor1000 which is at beta so will be posted soon anyway. But as it's the only actual wip I have going, I'm using it.
If he’d been asked -- which he hadn’t been, that’s an important part of this story -- Gerard would have said yes.
This one I discussed a bit in emails last year and then forgot about. A magical realism thing with an idea that could become dub-con'ey very easily if I'm not careful.
Apart from this bit here it has a few sentences before and a few after, so really doesn't deserve the title of wip. But hey, cheating again.
It even feels the same, but it isn't. Still tired, old and new sweat layered over a film of tour grime, the last thing Mikey wants to do is plug into the world, but he’s got no choice: not when something is niggling, burying in deep to a place he can’t itch.
And that's it in terms of wips except for the same ones that have been languishing for years. Yes multi band hockey story and Mikey and Ryan's pet boutiques story, I'm talking about you.
Not a wip, but if you like The Librarians you should check out
librarians_kink It looks like it could be good stuff.
Last night I finished reading Hostage, the second book in The Change series. It was so good and I'm sad that I've had to leave that universe. I fell in love with all the characters, and the world-building was so captivating that I just wanted to know more. I really do recommend it a lot.

Date: 2015-01-27 04:26 pm (UTC)Well, if I remember what I was thinking rightly, it involves arriving in a place where Gabe is in control. Hopefully I can remember exact details if I focus on that story again.

Date: 2015-01-27 04:30 pm (UTC)I am all for Gabe and Mikey. I must admit, objectively I think Gabe is one of the prettier Bandom people, and I don't get why he wasn't more popular. I mean, asshole players seem to be the hockey characterization rage, so why not in Bandom?!?!?! And let's not go into Tony Stark in MCU. *g*

Date: 2015-01-27 04:44 pm (UTC)I don't get why he isn't more popular, either. I mean, his friendship with Pete is rock solid and he's got a past that would usually be catnip for writers. Plus, as you said, he's a very good looking guy.
Add that to the extensive canon you could work with. So many photos and adventures with Pete, the photos with Mikey and others, never mind with his own bands. It just doesn't make sense.
Mikey/Pete/Gabe really works for me. All three of them damaged in some ways, three shaky foundations that when you put them together create a solid pyramid.
Now I have a hankering. It's all your fault!
Make your head explode, think about Gabe and Tony in the same room *g*
bound to be together!
Date: 2015-01-27 04:48 pm (UTC)Yes to all your points! And omg, Pete/Mikey/Gabe is the way to go, you are right about that. They do complement each other perfectly. And as one of them goes off jetsetting being a rockstar, the others will comfort each other. Now I want you to write one of your H/C stories about the three of them struggling together to make it off the streets and into the music business, or something like that.
Gabe/Tony?!?!?! Now I want to write that!
I also always liked the Gabe/William stories. I forget who was one of the main writers of that, but they were an excellent writer, which just made it all the more delicious.

Date: 2015-01-27 06:38 pm (UTC)Ahhhhhhhhh! You do know how to tempt me. A crappy apartment and terrible jobs as they all try to make it and keep failing and the only thing that keeps them going is each other. Hello story theme of my heart!
Gabe/Tony would be kind of amazing. I'm sure explosions would happen.
Gabe/William is good too.
*happy sigh*
