Mar. 24th, 2015 03:55 pmOur greenhouse is nearly finished.
Right now I'm staying inside out of the way because dad turned up, and between him, Corey and James a lot of banging is going on outside. I've no idea why as last time I was out the structure itself was finished. I'm guessing they're dealing with the leftover bricks, but whatever they're doing, dad looked so happy when he turned up that they can bang for hours if they want.
Nanna also turned up earlier, which was a surprise as usually the ramps to get onto the estate are too much for her. She stayed a while, sitting outside in the sunshine watching James and Corey work, then headed for home. She refused a lift home so I walked her down into town, nanna holding my hand all the time, so that was nice taking a short stroll together.
The hospital visit yesterday was a good one. We got there, waited a bit before being sent to the plaster room so James' back-slab could be taken off. He got a little stressed about that, worrying that the bones wouldn't be supported while he went off to x-ray. But all was fine, and the x-ray tech was great, thinking outside the box so he could get the films he needed when James couldn't move his arm much.
After that it was back to the doctor, and we didn't even sit down before getting called into the room, where the first thing the doctor said was, 'it's healing beautifully'. So much so in fact it took him a moment to remember it was only 3 weeks since the accident so James still needed some kind of cast for a while.
Which meant going to the plaster room again, where James got a nice black light-weight cast before we headed off to eat dinner at the riverside.
So, in the end there was nothing to worry about at all.

Date: 2015-03-24 07:11 pm (UTC)I enjoyed my stroll with nanna and yesterday's news was the best. I was so worried about the appointment, so it was like a big weight had been lifted.
