Apr. 20th, 2015 01:04 pmI was at physio last Thursday-- no painful prodding but he did teach me breathing exercises to go along with the on your belly back stretches. I'm sure he's teaching me stealth yoga. Went grocery shopping, came home, and found dad working in the garden with Corey. Dad told me to mix some concrete up for him, I thought he was joking so went in the house to put away the shopping, came out and he asked me again. So yeah, no joke, just me learning how to mix concrete and shovel it onto bricks.
Dad actually phoned the next day asking if he should come over, but James put him off. I think he needed the rest.
Talking of James. He went to see the occupational health person at his work early last week, and he can go back from this week. She was going to say no at first, but in the end between them they agreed he'd only go back for 6 hour instead of 12 hour shifts and then talk again once his brace comes off. So, on Wednesday he's back to work.
Also last week we did the first lot of financial forms in terms of Corey going to university. Thankfully that wasn't as long-winded and painful as it could have been as my personal info was limited to getting the carers allowance while James had the more complicated section to fill in. But, that part is done now, so one more step crossed off the list.
I got a new steam cleaner yesterday, one that comes with a hand-held option. I got a bit over enthusiastic steam cleaning stuff, so much so my arms were shaking while I was trying to eat dinner, and I may have steamed off the temperature markings on the oven....
My uncle died, well, my second uncle I guess as he's my dad's uncle. We weren't close and he's had dementia for a long time, so it wasn't a surprise. I'll be going to the funeral but more for nanna than anything.
Fannishly I'm enjoying the photos Mikey and Kristin keep posting, and like that she's been hanging with Donna. I also like the new Electric Century songs, but man, the lyrics to If Heaven Will Have Me. That's not a song to listen to when you're feeling down.
I'm going to go try the window washer attachment on the steamer now. Oh, what an exciting life that I have.

Date: 2015-04-20 02:21 pm (UTC)I was rooting through mwd's photobucket earlier and got to looking at the photos from morrison con, and he looked so down and defeated then. The lyrics match how he looked then, and I'm so very glad things have changed so much.

Date: 2015-04-22 01:44 pm (UTC)I have to admit it's satisfying blasting dirt with a gust of steam. Especially the fiddly stuff like around tap bases. I plan on tackling the bathroom grouting soon.

*hugs* RL is kicking soo much lately. But, I'm hoping to try and be around more. Maybe email people soon, just to talk random things. IDK.
Hope today is being good to you.

Date: 2015-04-22 04:44 pm (UTC)You should listen! Well, maybe when you're in a happy mood, because man, talk about some heavy lyrics on some.
I did! The bathroom is in my sights next.
