I'm just home from going to see Mad Max, and oh my goodness, what an incredible film. I enjoyed every moment of it, and if I could, I would have turned around and gone and watched it all over again.
Coming out of the cinema we saw Corey had phoned, and it seemed while we were gone the hosepipe had exploded somehow, the end shooting off, and in a case of bad luck, the end landed next to the back door instead of any of the other multiple places the water would have harmlessly drained away in the garden.
Thankfully Corey got home from college just in time to stop the water reaching the hallway, and had moped up the kitchen. He also soundly told James off, telling him from now on he has to ensure the garden tap is properly turned off when he's finished using it.
I got my bbb posting date and it's lovely knowing everything is in hand and no frantic scrambling will have to happen to get things finished.
Now though, I need to post at mwd and then start to get settled down for the night. No doubt I'll be going to bed with the sound of drums in my head.

Date: 2015-05-21 07:32 am (UTC)We've had such bad luck with hosepipes. We bought one of those crinkly ones, that went on to develop so many holes it could be used as an irrigation system. Now this one decided to explode.

Date: 2015-05-21 07:30 am (UTC)I'm just glad Corey got there in time to stop the water getting into the rest of the house. The kitchen floor was easily mopped. The rest not so much.

Date: 2015-05-21 07:12 pm (UTC)Eeeep! I didn't even know hosepipes could explode. It's a good thing Corey got home in time to stop any serious flooding. (I bet he felt like a grownup, getting to lecture his dad ;-)

Date: 2015-05-22 08:35 am (UTC)I didn't know they could explode either. I'm guessing there must have been a weak point. But yeah, I think Corey enjoyed his lecturing. He went on for long enough *g*
