To the surprise of no one I'm sure, I caved like a cavey thing in terms of getting a h/c bingo card.

If only you could use past stories I could have half the card filled out.

Aww, "learning to be loved."

I say go for the second line in one fell swoop. Orphans with bruises who become rock stars and tour (moving) and have bodyguards learning to be loved.

I seem to get learning to be loved in every h/c card I've applied for. And yet, still no fill.

Dude, I'd read that story in an instant!

Let's see. As it's me it would have to be Way bro orphans forced to live on the streets and do terrible things to survive -- and have terrible things done to them. HOWEVER! While on the streets they meet a college guy who volunteers at a recording studio. This of course, is Pete, who is also terribly fucked up but has the advantage of good friends who help steady him as he studies and volunteers. Gradually they forge a friendship with first, Pete, and then the rest of his friends. Mikey and Pete inevitably become more than friends, even though the Way bros refuse charity and still sleep rough, which is fine, they will take coffee and food as they hang with Pete and his friends at the recording studio and Pete will come to Mikey with take out and they'll drink coffee during the dark nights tucked under a ratty blanket, talking at times but often content to just be -- because I love a good cliché.

So! Months go on and Pete and his group are ready to leave for the summer, and it's all tragic because who'll provide coffee and sandwiches now! But one night at the recording studio, as they celebrate Patrick's good results and Andy and Joe not being expelled for, in turn, protesting instead of studying and being constantly stoned and not going to classes, Gerard ends up singing, and he's good! So Patrick secretly records him and sends the CD to other friends who need a singer for their new band, which kind of sucks in the way their singer can't actually sing that well, but they do have kick ass guitar players and, okay, a drummer is there too!

Patrick would be all, they're perfect for you! And Pete all, yes! Yes they will! And Frank would frown at his phone and be like, you want our new lead singer to be an orphaned homeless runaway and his brother who can't actually play anything and is also Pete's fuck buddy?

And Pete would be insulted because Mikey's not his fuck buddy! He's his love and maybe he can't play anything yet but he can learn! And Patrick agrees -- just not with the being his love part, he likes Mikey but not like that but a threesome may happen at some point

Things happen. Pete and everyone have to leave for the summer and the Way bros keep on living life as best that they can, and then suddenly, there's Frank! And Ray! And Bob! Who doesn't want to be there but came anyway to stop Ray and Frank being murdered and skinned by these strangers, even though they deserve it for being so stupid and listening to Pete.

But, after a tense stand off, they start to talk and Ray says he's heard Gerard sing and he's awesome and they have this band that needs a singer and they can't offer a wage or anything, but do have a van and will share any earnings and they think Gerard will be perfect!

Which would be awesome. Except Gerard's not going anywhere without Mikey and he starts to say no, when Ray cuts in and tells him of course Mikey gets to come to and Ray will teach him how to play bass and everything will be amazing!

And it is. They get together and learn to be a band and Pete hangs around often and is annoying to everyone, blowing kisses and being obnoxious that he set this up, laughing when Patrick kicks him and reminds him it wasn't Pete that caught that first recording of Gerard singing.

And MCR become big and FOB become big and Mikey and Pete are still lobsters who love each other but understand the need to take comfort in others at times, which is fine as they still always come back to each other.

And years down the line they get bodyguards, who stop them from getting shot, or try to, someone will get shot, they always do. Maybe the bodyguard will get shot! Maybe it's Lindsey who gets shot, their kick ass ninja like bodyguard who's been attracted to Gerard since they met and vice versa but he only says something when she's shielding him with her body and dripping blood while taking out assassins with deadly precision.

Then they get married.

And Pete and Mikey get married.

And everything is awesome!

It was fun to sketch out the story. Shame the actual writing isn't so easy.

Well, I suppose Ray and Gerard could fall in love instead of Lindsey and Gerard. I'm sure some slow burning love affair could be ignited on their way to rock stardom.

The last line is pretty nifty. I like them all in fact, none make me want to step back and think, oh hell no.

It's SUPER GREAT nothing makes you unhappy to have it :)

well...what I kinda meant was...once I finish the bbb, delving MORE into that world..because there are A MILLION layers and I won't be able to get to everything in this bbb.(I mean, it'll tots be a closed story with a beginning/middle/end)

So it wouldn't be new aus for me...just staying in what I've been doing. IDK. Once I finish this I'll think about it.
