Jun. 26th, 2015 05:02 pmI did my overnight sleep apnia testing earlier in the week. It was very simple, go to the hospital on the afternoon. Get a machine, plug it in and attach the clip on my finger when I went to bed, then take off the clip and turn off the machine when I woke up. Easy as.
Now I just have to wait for the results. I did worry I wouldn't sleep well with the wire going from my hand to the machine, but that wasn't an issue as the night before I had to go to the hospital walk-in because I was pretty sure I was getting cellulitis in my leg. Which they agreed with, so I'm on some strong antibiotics now and feel so much better. But, it did mean I felt wiped out when I did the test and pretty much slept as soon as my head hit the pillow.
I was told at the hospital to go see my own GP three days after, so that's where I was this morning. Unfortunately the doctor I saw was a very new trainee taking her first practice days, so didn't know any of my history. My legs are such a swollen mess that she couldn't really tell the bad one was better, so all I could do was tell her that it really was much better than earlier in the week.
So yeah, another hoop done. Three visits to the hospital, one to the doctor in the last four days. Fingers crossed there's no more for a little bit.

Date: 2015-06-26 05:03 pm (UTC)She was a lovely woman but so obviously new, and so young, omg!
It is going well. We've been checking out cars as our motibility one is due to be changed at the end of the year so we need to start deciding which new one we want, and while we were out Corey's tidied up, loaded the dishwasher etc. That's always a big plus.

Date: 2015-06-27 01:47 pm (UTC)But yeah, lots of doctoring. I actually got another hospital appointment this morning, but it's not until the 9th of next month. So, as of now a week or so off.

Date: 2015-06-28 07:03 am (UTC)The poor doctor, she was so young and obviously unsure about improvements. Those first few solo weeks must be scary for new doctors, but I'm sure she'll soon be caught up.
Next appointment for me is in a couple of weeks. To discuss the test results I assume.
