Mam's a little better today. They found out she had pneumonia, a water infection, an infection in her belly, plus really low blood pressure. She'll be in the hospital for a bit, but it's the best place for her right now. Kayleigh and Chris have been in to see her and we'll go in tomorrow as James still isn't feeling well, plus, he doesn't want to pass on his bug.

Something good happened this morning though. Last year, well before Kayleigh and Kay split up they witnessed a horrific accident. Which I'll talk about behind

An old lady went to cross the road and was hit by a motorcycle. She was thrown in the air, and Kayleigh said afterwards just looking at her she knew there was no way she'd make it, and she didn't.

The man driving was obviously at fault. The old lady didn't step out in front of him, he just didn't see her crossing. All the evidence pointed at him being to blame, but he decided to plead innocent. Kayleigh and Kay were both dreading the trial as it would mean reliving that day and having to see the victim's family, coroners reports etc. Today as they were driving for the trial they got news the man had changed his plea to guilty. So that was good for them, plus, the old lady's family didn't have to go through that ordeal either.

So, today has been a relief all around, really.

Mam is feeling much better, as shown by her saying she'll discharge herself if she can't come home today. Sigh.

James feels better too. The down day is just what he needed, for him and everyone else who would have been exposed to his germs!

Kayleigh and Kay were dreading the trial. Why he waited so long to change his plea I don't know.

Mam is feeling much better now and is hoping to get out of hospital today. Mainly so she can get a good sleep as she's on an acute chest ward which is very noisy due to all the different breathing masks/machines etc.

As for James, he's much better now.

Thank you! Man is much better, as shown by the fact she's complaining like crazy and is threatening to discharge herself if she doesn't come home today.

I really don't know why he didn't plead guilty from the start and save some pain for the lady's family.

Yeah, it's been a rough week or so. But, things are on the up.
