Yesterday James' time hop on Facebook reminded us that this time a year ago he'd been in hospital as they were worried he'd had a heart attack. Which means in a few days it'll be a year since he ran himself over and broke his arm.

Thinking about it, it's good we can't actually see the future because if I could back then I would have looked forward at the coming year and just thought, NOPE. I can't do it. I can't get through that. But I could and I did and touch wood, this year will be better.

James is actually off again now. Horrible timing since he only went back to work last week, but considering how ill he was yesterday there wasn't a chance he could go into work. Plus, throwing up so often meant his pain meds didn't work at full strength so he's really suffering with his back today. He's asleep on the couch now and is better than yesterday so I'm sure he'll be fine soon. Though my Mog on the Tyne visit will have to be put back a little.

While he is asleep I'm off for a cheeky bath and then there's an evening of tv watching in my future as our DVR only had 5% memory left this morning and there's loads of stuff scheduled to record tonight.

I just hope I can stay awake. I woke up too early this morning and staying in all day has made me fuzzy headed and sleepy. I must get out for some fresh air tomorrow, even if the forecast is winter'ey I need to blow the cobwebs away.

Basically, it's a good thing we have to get through life a minute at a time. If we had to do weeks or years at once we'd be so fucked.

Time is weird and always unknown. A curse and a blessing.

I need to find some time to watch dvr'd shows. I have like 3 grimm episodes, 3 episodes of The Magicians, probably something else and I just keep NOT watching as episodes pile up.

I've got about 22 episodes from different TV shows in my iTunes and about 7 more of stuff I've gotten ~elsewhere~. It's funny because I don't often think I watch a lot of TV (at least when I look at my list of TV shows) yet, at the same time, I can deffo spend some hours catching up with stuff.

Yeah, seeing all the bad stuff piled up, I would have wanted to nope right out too. But Pen is right. Luckily we just have to get through one second at a time.

Again, I hope James is feeling better today.

I've been waking up too early too. And then I go to bed early because I am tired, and then wake up early again. Vicious cycle!

When you think about it it's no wonder the superheroes who can see the future tend to go a bit crazy. I certainly wouldn't want to know what was coming. A second at a time is the way to go.

He's back at work today \o/ Not that I mind having him around you know, just I haven't had my own routines for a while.

My problem is as well as the usual shows I love cooking competitive shows like Masterchef. I'm watching two series like that atm, both of which are shown daily, so they soon add up.

I'm liking it so far. It's like if you pulled out a blender, threw in a mythical world like Narnia(but not narnia), tossed in MANY harry potter refs/jokes, a liberal amount of american grad studentness, and for the final ingredient, hipster-y pretension. Blend well.

Mostly, I'm liking a secondary character or two A LOT and that's what's keeping me right now. Also, some of the visuals are great(to me).
