turpsI've been looking at more photos of Mikey on his mini tour, and man, he's looking extra attractive at the moment.
After some very nice comment conversations with people who haven't posted on DW/LJ for a while, I had more of a poke at imzy earlier -- and man, I find it frustrating. I'm sure it's because I'm so used to these places I could post in the dark with one hand, but I don't like fumbling around trying to understand how to do things. But, I'm sure I'll get there eventually.
I've been to nanna's earlier and like I kept telling her, now she's had time to get used to it, she's a pro on the stairlift, bombing up and down without a care. She's still got carers going in, meaning she's still getting up too early and going to bed too early for her taste, but I suspect that will end soon as she's so much better.
I got a very weird LJ direct message last night from someone warning about someone changing user names and being a prize bitch who talks behind people's backs. I didn't recognise any of the names, of the so-called bitch or the sender, but checking them out they are actual accounts. At least the SCB is, the sender has deleted their journal. Some people have too much time on their hands.
I'm still watching Killjoys, and really loving it. I've got past the 'make some noise' reaction now, and have stopped thinking of D'avin as Scotty in Brothers and Sisters, and am just really enjoying the eps. Though, I went looking for fic last night and there's just none there I want to read. And I mean, what's up with that? One day I'll actually find a show I like that comes along with a fandom in tune with my wants.
It's a bank holiday tomorrow and while it's supposedly going to be a lovely day after a day of rain today, my plans are a cinema visit and a tramp around the MetroCentre. All the beaches will be crammed tomorrow, so much better to hit the cinema and go to the coast the day after.
I'm not sure what we'll go and see, but one option is Sausage Party. I saw that on Kayleigh's android box, and as it was the first time I'd heard or seen the film I thought it was some kind of cartoon porn. But looking at the trailer later it's an adult cartoon where vegetables think they're off to the great beyond when they're chosen off the shelf, but in fact find themselves getting chopped up and eaten. It was very disturbing! And I suspect James will want to go see it.

LOL, at the Killjoys' reaction! I remember when the show first premiered that someone who worked in the comic book was pissed off that the show had used that specific name for the show.
I watched Sausage Party for free (>__>) and, though I did laugh at some parts, yes, it's a v. adult cartoon. I did have a O_o when I got home and was cooking, LOL!
Overall, it's a memorable movie, crude and strangely violent. I would've been OK with not seeing it. #Shrug
P.S.: Hooray to Nanna for getting the hang of using the lift!

I like that I'm getting to talk to people who haven't posted for years here, but at the same time, beyond that I don't know what I'm supposed to do there. It seems pointless posting the same stuff there as I do here, I mean, three places for a post would be overkill.
I guess it's good for people who compartmentalise their online experience, but I've always just shoved everything together.
I'm so glad that reaction has faded now. At first it was so strong. I have to admit, I didn't even know what the show was about when it was first set to record. James saw it on the tv schedule and said, 'there's a show about those Killjoys you like' and set it on the DVR. Obviously he was wrong, but I'm glad the mistake was made. So I can see why the comic book person would be pissed off, even if they have no actual hold on the name.
Sausage Party is weird. Until I saw it at Kayleigh's I'd never heard of it. Not a trailer, or even mention of it upcoming at the cinema. Just, suddenly it was there.
I was talking to Corey last night and he was saying him and his friends were going to a midnight showing of it tonight. I suspect it'll be right up their street.
Nanna is getting on so well with the lift. It was lovely to see her go to the bathroom without worry.

Nanna is a different woman now. It's amazing how getting that independence back has helped.
