Dec. 26th, 2016 03:08 pmI hope everyone that celebrates had a very happy Christmas.
We did. I cooked loads and got many lovely presents. Lets just say I'll be well stocked up on Lush products for a while, plus, have a very generous gift card to spend at the shop for when my stash starts to run down. Or, lets be honest here, next time I'm anywhere in the vicinity of a Lush shop, which no doubt will be Wednesday or Thursday.
Corey bought me one of the big gift sets from there, which was lovely of him, and I spent happy time exploring the contents. James got me another Hells Bunny dress -- which is a size smaller than the last one -- as well as other various things. Plus I have money for when I can be bothered to check out the sales.
Turlough sent me a beautifully soft cushion with a knitted cover that fits the colour scheme of my living room beautifully. It's so warm and cosy to rest against, and looks fantastic on the couch. Thank you so much, Turlough! You remain amazing at presents. And thank you zelda_zee for the notebook and beautiful bracelet. I was thrilled when I opened both. You really did spread the joy this holiday season ♥
I had my traditional turkey, stuffing and mint sauce sandwich this morning, and very much enjoyed it. Then later it'll be the Boxing Day buffet. Until then I'm just lounging around in my new pjs and having a check online, including reading the story that was written for me at bandom holidays. And it's brilliant! You all need to go check it out now, and then when you've done that check out the other works. But seriously, the story for me is so good, and whoever wrote it knows my likes so well. So much so I have to guess they read here, so thank you so much mystery writer, you are amazing and your story is perfect.
As you know I did write for the challenge, so if you do read, feel free to guess which one you think is mine. Personally I think it's pretty obvious, but who knows, maybe I've actually kept my tells under wraps all these years. And of course, the usual alpha suspects don't get a guess. Sorry usual alpha suspects!

Date: 2016-12-26 06:15 pm (UTC)Your OTPing with Lush has led me to think of you whenever I pass by one of their stores. As it happens, they've begun to pop up in my city over the last year and a half. #Gofigure
In all truth, this year's Bandom Holidays has left both Aka and myself speechless with the high levels of amazingness for all of the fanworks. I'm thrilled you loved your fic. ;)

Date: 2016-12-27 03:30 pm (UTC)I'm loving my Lush stash right people. People are very generous. I know it's a place people tend to love or hate. I know a lot of people who dislike even walking past the shops as they're so highly scented. But what can I say? I'm firmly, obviously, in the love camp.
My fic was amazing! I'm seriously impressed at the works that have been posted, and am glad I still have more to read. I'm especially impressed considering the challenge nearly didn't happen.

Date: 2016-12-26 07:02 pm (UTC)I'm now imagining your new bathroom heaped high with Lush products everywhere :-) And congratulations to the new dress and I hope you'll find some really nice things at the sales too!
You like the cushion cover and it fits your living room, yay! I tried to match the colour of your new sofa but since I've only seen it in pics I wasn't sure if I'd gotten it right.
That's a beautiful bracelet from zelda_zee!
The leftovers are totally the best about Yule food! I just had a sandwish piled high with home-made ham and it was so good.
I've tabbed the bandom holiday stories I want to read but I haven't started reading them yet. Instead I'm reading Yuletide stories for the first time in years - if things work out I might even get around to reading a few of those I bookmarked last year and the year before *keeps fingers crossed*
I presume me trying to "guess" your story would be unfair, right? :-)

Date: 2016-12-27 12:29 pm (UTC)You're not far wrong with the Lush products. There's already two bagfuls up there, and I still need to take up the huge gift box, which has another smaller gift box put inside.
I do like it, love it in fact. It was such a lovely surprise when I opened the parcel, and it matches perfectly. It's like you'd been here in person to see yourself.
Isn't it? I've been spoiled in terms of gifts this year.
Hummm, yes, leftovers are so good!
I haven't even looked at any Yuletide stories yet. I do intent to change that, though.
Yes it would! It's the price you have to pay for letting me bounce ideas of you.

Date: 2016-12-28 02:19 am (UTC)Mine hasn't been 100%, but it's getting better, I think.
I just now got the card you sent out for me, and it really warmed my heart, so I'd like to thank you for that. It really means a lot to me :)
Hope 2017 is wonderful for you as well! :D

Date: 2016-12-28 12:15 pm (UTC)I'm glad Corey is spending so much time at home. I saw in comments it made you happy. I was going to comment on it in an earlier post, but it slipped my mind by the time I responded.
Can't beat leftover turkey! I have some too from the neighbors, and so good.

Date: 2016-12-29 08:06 am (UTC)Also, thank you for the pretty card! Which I'm sure arrived before Christmas, but I only got my hands on it now that I'm back from the parents'. :)
