Day 06

In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

(1) Recs. If you've read a story and thought, Terri would like that, let me know. Bandom always, where I'm sure most people know my tastes by now, but Musketeers too. For that, Aramis is my OTC so anything focussed on him would be lovely.

(2) I love comments. I know time is limited and sometimes it's hard to leave a comment and you don't know what to say, but if you've read and enjoyed any kind of fannish work, please let the creator know. It makes my day when I get comments, and I'm sure that applies to anyone who puts their work out there.

I can't think of anything else, but if anyone wants to write me a Mikey centric h/c epic adventure full of ridiculousness, kick ass ladies, way bros, hi jinks, snappy dialogue, band boys loving each other, found family, angst, woe, kitties, gsf and maybe a dragon, feel free.

The same goes for Musketeers, I'm easy like that.

And because Snowflake has led to new friends, I thought I'd do a sort of down and dirty about me as I tend to assume everyone has been reading my journal for years.

First thing, I'm Terri. That is my actual name and I have no issue in terms of people calling me that anywhere. You can call me Terri, Turps, T, whatever is easier.

I live in the NE of England close to Sunderland if you ever want to check on a map.

I love the beach and go there often.

I love cats and have four rescue cats of my own. They're called Freesia, Tinker, Milo and Pansy.

James is my husband. We got married last year but will have been together 25 years this year, and have lived together for nearly all of those years.

James has Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita ( AMC). Which is a long name for a condition that basically means all his joints and tendons are severely messed up, and have been since birth. He's also a below knee amputee and while his condition isn't progressive as such it's been getting a bit worse recently, which means he's using his wheel chair more often. He's still got a full time job as a 999 call taker though, and my job is as his carer.

We've got a son, Corey, who will be 21 next month. He's in his second year at university at Newcastle at the moment and is very much living the student life and loves it. He phones home a few times a week and we see him quite often, even if it's just a few minutes at a time dropping stuff off at his house.

Other people who I talk about. My nanna. She's 96, turning 97 next month and while I love her to bits she's lost any tact she ever had. My mam. She's got various health issues and also a long term alcohol issue that means she can be horribly nasty at times. But I love her and have always stuck by her. My sister, Kayleigh. She's 12 years younger than me, and my brother, Chris, who's 2 years younger. My dad died last year, and I miss him terribly, but still see his long-term partner, Pauline, often.

I've also got lots of in laws and a handful of nieces and nephews. The oldest niece is a baby fangirl who keeps posting MCR stuff on insta. She hasn't found fic yet, but she will. It's inevitable.

After a lifetime of being severely overweight I had a gastric bypass in September last year and am at the stage where I'm dropping a lot of weight and fast. That's still amazing to me and I'm still settling into this new body and all the changes in terms of eating etc. The weight loss and process is important to me but I do try and keep everything about that behind a cut, as I know it's an uncomfortable subject for many.

I love going to the cinema. James has an unlimited card for Odeon and I get in free as his carer, so we're there often.

I'm a Lush addict. I love their products and the highlight of my day is the long hot bath I take nightly with my Lush bathbombs or bubble bath bars. Really, I love all kinds of that stuff, body scrub, face masks, skin conditioner, it's all good. I get a lot of reading done in the bath, either books or fic on my kindle.

I watch a lot of tv but don't tend to talk about it on here. My Sky DVR constantly has a low amount of memory left.

I read DW and LJ pretty much daily and comment a lot. But saying that, I have no issue at all with people lurking on my journal. Lurk, comment, talk to other people in comments. Just do whatever makes you happy.

Bandom is still my main fandom but I'm on a Musketeers kick at the moment. What can I say, Aramis has hold of my heart.

I can't think of anything else at the moment.
