Snowflake challenge day 7 part 2
Jan. 7th, 2017 02:47 pmDay 7
In your own space, create a fanwork. Make a drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. Arts and crafts. Draft a critical essay about a particular media. Put together a picspam or a fanmix. Write a review of a Broadway show, a movie, a concert, a poetry reading, a museum trip, a you-should-be-listening-to-this-band essay. Compose some limericks, haikus, free-form poetry, 5-word stories. Document a particular bit of real person canon. Take some pictures. Draw a stick-figure comic. Create something. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I'm going for it as I've enjoyed these writing responses in previous Snowflake challenges.
Therefore -- give me a prompt and pairing, or character, and I'll write you a drabble. In which I mean something exactly 100 words long. ETA: Or a double drabble or a triple one. Who's counting!?
I'm going for drabbles as I got a bit carried away last year. Fandoms anything I have/do talk about.

Date: 2017-01-07 03:21 pm (UTC)I think you should write me an Aramis/Captain Jack Sparrow crossover! That strikes me as a fun time. *g*
“You sir, are a scoundrel.”
Aramis watches the man who’s hanging above him, a rope wrapped around one arm and eyes wide as he pushes off the side of the ship.
“You should leave now. Before I get down there and chop off your head.”
“You could try,” Aramis says, taking a step back from the quay and the black freezing water below. “But it’s your head that will roll.”
“My head is too pretty to roll.” The man keeps descending, booted feet clattering against the side of the ship as he slips and swings down. “Whereas yours deserves to be dunked in the ocean.”
“And why is that?” Aramis asks, torn between genuine interest and regret that he hadn’t gone a different way home. “It’s not me fleeing down the side of a ship.”
“Fleeing?” The man shakes his head, the beads in his hair clinking together. “I’m not fleeing. I’m simply bypassing the gangplank. And I do like your boots.”
“Thank you.” Despite the abrupt turn in conversation, the response is automatic, especially as Aramis’ boots really are fine. “I like yours too.”
“Yes.” A last slide, and the man drops down to the ground, rubbing the palms of his hands over his coat. “If I chopped off your head I could take your boots.”
“You could,” Aramis agrees, and rests his hand close to his rapier. “But I wouldn’t recommend trying.”
For a long moment the man says and does nothing, just stares and then says, “I like you. I will let you live this time.”
“My relief is immense,” Aramis says, bemused as the man starts walking away. No, strike that, starts almost prancing away. “And you are?”
The man turns, smiles and says, “Jack. My name is Jack. Remember it.”
Aramis knows that he will.
