Nov. 10th, 2017 03:05 pmWe got Jaffa back this morning, and now I'm waiting for the hire company to come and get Snowball. They said anything up to eight hours after 11 this morning, so there's still a while to go. It's a pain we haven't been able to go out today, though. And now James has gone to work and I'm still waiting.
Snowball was a nice car, but I did miss Jaffa's heated seats. I've got this thing with James. I get cold really easily, he gets overheated easily. It's fine in the house or out and about. But in the car we always get into this ridiculous situation where I'll crank my side of the heat up, so he'll open the window, so I'll crank further, he'll open further. At least the heated seats help that.
We had a lovely day out on Sunday. They continue to feel weird so we went out for the full day. First to Newcastle quayside market where we wandered and had some delicious food for dinner. Then we drove to Metrocentre to see Bad Moms Christmas movie. Now, I was looking forward to that as I love a Christmas movie -- I may have been watching the Christmas movie channel for over a month now. Plus, Costa coffee had released their Christmas drinks so I got to see a Christmas movie clutching a Christmas cup and drinking a Christmas cappuccino. What can I say, I like Christmas? Then on the night we went to a Guy Fawkes display at the beach, which was nice, but short and very cold.
Other than that I've been helping mam decorate her kitchen and sort things out in her house. That took a good two days, but at least being so busy meant my computer acting up wasn't such a big deal. Thankfully I've managed to fix that, and remain amazed at being able to do things without a terrible lag.
Writing is going well. The bandom exchange is over half done and I have a solid idea for the popslash one. I'm still adding words to the Musketeers fic too, so all in all, words are happening.

Date: 2017-11-11 09:32 pm (UTC)I know you love it but isn't it a little early even for you to start indulging in Christmas? ;-D
I'm glad to hear your computer is working properly again.
And hooray for writing! *waves encouraging pompoms*

You know what's weird? Some people locally have started to decorate already, and each time I see their trees I'm all, too early! And yeah, I know I decorate early too, just not that early. But Christmas films seems different somehow. I fully embrace the cheese no matter what time of the year.
I don't know what was up with my computer but it was driving me crazy. It makes me wonder how I managed to cope in dial up days, because the snagging and slow loading was all kinds of frustrating.
Thank you! I'd say the bandom story should be done in a day, then onto the next.

Date: 2017-11-13 11:57 am (UTC)I am liking all the adverts appearing. I always look forward to the John Lewis one, it's yet another signal that Christmas is on the way.
Hopefully it'll stay sorted. It's a lovely car but has been a hassle lately.
