Nov. 26th, 2017 10:01 amCorey went back to uni last week, much happier than when he came home. I suspect he would have stayed a little longer but his group house chat revealed they'd received letters saying three of them were about to be done for council tax non-payment. So he had to go back and sort that out because apparently something had gone wrong somewhere.
He's gone back to his meetings/classes and has talked to everyone that was suggested, and really, thank you to everyone that gave such helpful advice.
While he was home we had a very chilled and domestic time. He helped sort out the kitchen cupboards, mainly because he's the only person who can easily access the top shelves of the wall units, and helped me sort out all the spices and tea. Now it's grouped together I can see I have a lot of tea -- a lot! And I gave advise about the necklace he was buying for his girlfriend. Which is beautiful and being handmade in Canada.
We've talked a lot since, and he's back on Thursday evening for a Christmas dinner so hopefully, things will remain on an even keel.
Other than that. I've been to see Justice League, which I liked well enough, and Daddies Home Two, which I loved. That movie, oh man. It's no secret that I'm a sucker for Christmas cheese and Daddies Home delivered that in spades. I even misted up at the end when everyone was snowed in at the cinema, and they started singing 'Do they know it's Christmas' and it was clichéd to the max, cheesy, but hit me right in my Christmas loving feels.
While we were seeing that we saw our second cinema of choice is being fitted with an IMAX screen, and even better, all the seats will be recliners. So we booked to see Star Wars there. The screen actually opens tomorrow, and we did look to see what was playing this week, but it's Justice League and I don't really want to see that again. Of course this means the chance of James falling asleep increases even more. At this point he may as well just take a blanket with him.
We also saw the Coca Cola truck I have to admit it was a little underwhelming during the day, but when we left at night it was all lit up with projections on the side and looked fab.
Writing is going okay. I've made my word target all month, admittedly, just on some days, but I did it. And both challenge stories will be done well in time.

Date: 2017-11-28 04:58 pm (UTC)It's so nice to have someone with an inbuilt ladder at hand when you're sorting through cupboards. My BiL is very handy that way!
I think James should always take a blanket with him to the movies :-)
That photo of you two is so much fun. I bet you confuse everyone that see you!
You're writing every day, go you!! Lots of good luck with the stories!!

Date: 2017-11-29 04:21 pm (UTC)Everyone should have their own inbuilt ladder. It makes reaching high things much easier.
If James did take a blanket every time he'd be asleep in seconds. Worse than he is now *g*
He's a ridiculous person! I can be freezing and he's strolling around in shorts and t-shirt. And he's sweating too, so I know he's genuinely hot. It's so weird.
Thank you. Both should be done in time, and I credit mini nano for that.
