Well, the MTYG reveals are up and I can reveal I wrote To Turn to Dust or to Gold for [personal profile] ephemera, which was a big task because she's such a lovely amazing lady and we've been friends for a very long time. Also, it was the first time in forever that I'd written a full length popslash story.

I have to admit I cheated a little as I read A's post about wanting a post apoc library, and got inspiration from there. Now, I have to say here that the story probably isn't what A was imagining. I'm sure her idea was much more serious, while mine had unicorns with sparkling hooves, and Pink getting involved with Kelly and Lance as a tech over-ruler who people both respected and friendly mocked, and tech that kept failing and electrocuting people, Justin repeatedly falling off a donkey and JC nearly dying trying to bring a copy of the Karma Sutra back to the library, and a total lack of anything beyond casual touches between Chris and Joey to show they were actually together.

But it was a lot of fun to write, and if I hadn't contained myself it could have sprawled to many, many more thousands of words. Huge thanks go to [personal profile] pensnest and [personal profile] nopseud who helped me beat it into shape. And yet again I was in a gifting circle with my recipient. It was a lovely exchange season that way.

Which leads me nicely to, it was Ephemera who wrote my cat cafe story. I knew it was someone who knew me as it was so tailored to my tastes, but I had no clue who. Thank you again, A ♥

Catching up on Snowflake, though it's a very quick catch-up as I have no actual content to include.

Day 5: Recommend a fannish or creative reasource

I'm coming up empty for this one and have been since I first saw the prompt. I mean, I'm sure I have something to share but I can't think of anything right now. So I'll have to pass.

Day 6: Leave feedback for a fanwork

That's something I always do anyway so I'm classing this as done, too.

Awww, your gifting exchange circles are so cute! What were the odds?

I'll hopefully get a chance to read your story this week. It's been a crazy writing time instead of a reading time this weekend.

How awesome that you wrote for ephemera while she wrote for you!

Of course it was JC who brought the Kama Sutra to the library! :-D

Ok, that has to be the most fun and colorful post-apocalypse story I've ever read. I'm glad JC was able to preserve that ancient wisdom.

The same thing happened to me last year! Gifting circles, right? They're kind of a mind f*ck. :)
