We went to visit my MiL yesterday. She's a little better but they're not actually sure what's causing her symptoms. She's still on a full oxygen mask which makes it hard to hear her talk, and in fact she finds it hard to talk with being so breathless. She's really down and between that talk and the fact she's on the ward where mam spent so much time it wasn't the happiest of visits. In fact, one of the nurses recognised James and asked how mam was doing.

My MiL is getting a scan tomorrow so I doubt she'll be out any time soon. So we paid for three days worth of tv for her -- which I still think is overpriced at £20 for 3 days -- and James loaded more games on her tablet so she's got some entertainment at least.

Today I'm going to visit Kayleigh for a bit then we're off to the MetroCentre to spend some Christmas money and go to the cinema. I need to buy a mouse so I can give Corey his back, and have ran out of moisturiser and only have a squirt left of my Karma perfume, so will need to head to Lush, especially as I have five empty black pots to exchange for a free face mask. The new Valentines range is out but I'll be good and not buy anything from it and if you believe that....

Later I have a fandom stocking to edit and the second festive edition of Bake Off to watch. I've also still got the Christmas episode of Call the Midwife to watch. I must watch that soon because I think the new season is starting soon. I would have watched more Christmas tv but have been binge watching The Good Place and am now up to date in terms of episodes on Netflix. It's such a good show but I need more.

And Snowflake too, of course.

Ohh nice! I might have another look through fandom stocking just to see if I can stumble on any other band stuff. I caught up on the Christmas stuff so it was pretty good and yess The Good Place is so awesome!

They're still not sure what's wrong with her. I keep telling myself she's in the right place, and I know that she is. It's just a worry.

£20 is ridiculous I think, especially as you only get the five main channels. It's only recently they've installed wifi in the hospital, before that you had to rely on data. So you were screwed every way trying for entertainment.

Hope you find something at fandom stocking. It's such a good comm, but so big the tags are a bit hard to navigate.

I loved the last The Good Place with all the Janets. The actress playing her was amazing. Especially how you could tell the different characters despite all looking like Janet.

Yeah, I’ve had a look a few times and I just can’t seem to find any band stuff. I’m sure there is, but the just use a blanket rpf tag so it makes it so hard.

Ooh, enjoy bake off, it's SO GOOD :D. I hadn't heard we were getting a new season of Call the Midwife, but you're right - it's next Sunday @ 8. HURRAH :D.

I couldn't resist, they have bubble bath bars modelled on Madonna's cone bras. I mean, come on!

Hospitals are the worst when you're sick, but not sick enough that you still need some kind of entertainment. I feel for the people who are in for weeks because those twenties soon add up.

It is next Sunday! I do love that series, and really enjoyed the Christmas ep of Bake Off. They all seemed so relaxed and happy.

Continued good wishes to your mother-in-law. I hope she gets good care. I can imagine it must have been hard to be reminded about your mom's illness and even asked about her.

She is getting good care. It's a good ward really, just full of bad memories.

But I did have a nice day with Kayleigh. Mostly anyway as she's just split up with her long term partner and needed to pick through that a bit.

My MiL seems to have taken a turn for the better which is great. She's off the drip kind of antibiotics and only on oxygen when she needs it, and not 24/7. Best of all my SiL has told her she has to stay at hers until the heating is fixed at my InLaws house. So hopefully that will happen soon.

I hate that the tv costs so much. When you're in hospital watching mindless tv is often all you've got the energy to do entertainment wise. I know when mam was in her tv bill was a ridiculous amount until she refused to pay it any more.

I did have a good time shopping. I couldn't resist the bubble bath bras. A pun like that will always make me smile.

I thought of watching The Good Place but got spoiled for the "twist" back when S2 was airing. Though I've heard so many things about it that I might eventually give it a try.

We hoped she was going to come home yesterday, but it turns out she has sleep apnea on top of everything else, so needs to learn how to use the equipment to deal with that. But, once she does she'll hopefully feel much better.

I know, it's terrible. It's good I do go in the bath so often or my stash would take over the house.

I knew there was some kind of twist at the end of season one of TGP, but thankfully didn't know what, so it did take me by surprise. I just watched the latest new ep last night and continue to enjoy it a lot.

Changing the subject completely. I went to see The Favourite yesterday, mainly because I remembered you saying you wanted to see it. I'm glad I went to see that, too. Though it wasn't what I was expecting.
