A reverse big bang for Umbrella Academy is getting off the ground here. I think it could be good and wish them luck going forward.

Yesterday Kayleigh got a FB message from someone asking for the wallpaper steamer they'd lent to mam. I mean, seriously, what? Kay replied with something that was restrained in the circumstances, that mam had died last June and we hadn't seen the wallpaper steamer in the weeks we'd had to clear the house. But, who would do that? That person knows mam died and that we had to clear the house, her stupid wallpaper steamer was the last thing on our minds.

Some people are so thoughtless. It's bad enough getting through all the mother's day stuff without this.

The doctor did manage to get blood from James' foot, it took a while and just trickled out but thankfully they only needed one tube. If they ever need a full blood work up I think they'll have to prop him on a bed and leave him for hours. After we went out for breakfast at the coast but as it was such a horrible drizzly cold day we just came home in the afternoon. Though that was a plus as it gave me time to sit and finish joining h/c exchange, which I did. I do suspect I didn't select nearly enough tags about my wants and offers to write. Honestly, I really hope if I ever join this type of challenge again the process will feel easier because I felt like the noobiest noob to ever noob joining this one.

While at the doctor's yesterday I went to see if my new compression stocking had arrived, and they had. I'm wearing the new pair today, and have a feeling the measurements are slightly wrong as they're bunching behind my knees which the last pairs didn't. I'll wear them for a while and see how it goes, but if it gets too irritating I'll have to get back in touch with my lympth nurse.

I need to finish my h/c exchange letter then get ready to go see Captain Marvel. Then maybe a walk later as it looks nice out there today.

A reverse big bang is where instead of people writing stories and then artists picking a story to produce art for, it's the other way around. The art is created first, then the writers get shown that art and have to pick one to base a story on. You can see the old bandom reverse big bang here.

I still can't believe she asked that. Even if mam had borrowed it, it's obviously not there now.

Captain Marvel is amazing! We'll be going back to see it again for sure. Also, seeing the End Game trailer on the big screen gave me the chills before CM even started.

congrats on finishing the exchange signup! it was a hard one, what's with all the freeforms. but your writer only needs to match on ONE freeform with you, and they can use more of them than you've checked if they don't contradict your dnws, so just write a nice letter and let them know they can experiment, if you'd like ♥

Thank you. If it wasn't for you no way would I have got it done. Everything seemed so complicated, especially as I'm not used to providing so many things I like/am willing to write. But I'm glad I am doing it, though may change my mind when I get my assignment.

It certainly sounds like something isn't right with the fit of your new stockings. Having them bunching behind the knees sound very uncomfortable.

Yeah, I keep thinking of them sitting and remembering the wallpaper steamer, and deciding the thing to do was message Kayleigh and ask for it back. I keep saying, but who does that?

They got enough to test, so that was good. The doctor was fantastic, and pretty much sat on the floor while taking it out of his foot. I just wish he had veins that they could access easily.

I don't know what's up with the stockings. They feel a little long which I suspect is leading to the bunching. Though, it is nice not to use skin glue because they're too big.

Well, he needs to have his blood checked yearly due to one of the meds he's on. So hopefully it won't have to happen again for another year. I'd like to think so.
