Finally, Game of Thrones is back. It's been a long wait.

First, Sansa remains my favourite. She's changed so much and is now this kick-ass woman who doesn't trust easily and has the measure of many. I don't blame her for being suspicious, she has every right to be.

I loved the remaining Stark sibs being together at last, and include Jon in that despite knowing he's not really a Stark sib now. Arya letting her guard down to hug Jon. Such a lovely moment

I think anyone would be put off a romantic moment if watched by Drogon/a dragon.

Sam. Oh good and fabulous Sam.

Bran remains all kinds of creepy, and such a charged moment when Jaime turned up and saw him at the end.

I honestly got goosebumps when the titles started for the first time. I know I'm going to have my heart ripped out this season. I want all the Stark sibs to be healthy and happy at the end, but fully expect that not to happen. Still, it's going to be one hell of a ride.

We've been out and about the last week or so. One day we went to Durham. We went around the cathedral and had a bit of a mooch around the town. Then another day went to a nearby petting zoo where I got to feed many animals, and discovered that deer have very long and wet tongues. As shown behind

We took a very bumpy and cold tractor ride to look at the cows and I got to pet a donkey, though didn't get to hold a chick because of all the children getting the first pick. Which was only right, but still...

We've seen the new Hellboy, which was okay, but the people behind us obviously didn't think so as they walked out halfway through and today went to see Little which was a bog standard adult turning into a child film.

Tomorrow we're off for a day trip to Edinburgh. James has got his disabled person rail card so we're catching the 7:20 train and will come back early evening. I'm looking forward to it, despite living pretty close I haven't been to Edinburgh for a long time, though I can't say I'm looking forward to the early start.

Yay petting zoos are awesome! I love animals so much 💜

Yeah I’ve seen people say Hellboy’s only ok (not that I’d see it in cinemas myself)so that’s bit surprising

Have fun!

Deer and a donkey sound pretty good, although the lack of chick is of course disappointing.

It's 35 years since I visited Durham cathedral but I still remember the enormous decorated pillars inside. They were awesome!

Petting zoos are so much fun. Deer tounges look remarkably like cow tounges.

I hope you'd lots of fun in Edinburgh!

I finally watched the first episode of the new season, and they did a great job of reminding me of everything that was going on, and dagging me right back into caring about these characters. (The watching daragons made me laugh - it's like cats but scaled up so much!)

Glad you had fun petting all the animals, if not holding chicks.

Hope you had fun in Edinburgh too!
