This weather this weekend has been so lovely, up to 22 today, which is amazing as it was really cold with sleet and snow just a few weeks ago.

I've spent this Easter Sunday being mostly lazy. Answered a load of comments, dragged James for a walk around the estate. Cooked a mini roast dinner and had a potter in the garden, wrote some more on my h/c exchange story. It's been a good day, and once I post this it'll be bath and book time and then watching TV.

Yesterday was pretty much the same, but with a bit of going to buy cat litter involved. I also planted a load of summer flowering bulbs, though as they looked like dried up walnuts I'm dubious if they'll actually turn into flowers. Oh well, they're planted now so all I can do is wait.

We'll be dropping off my nephew and niece's Easter eggs tomorrow then no doubt a walk at the coast and maybe a cinema trip. And I suspect, some hunting for cut-price Easter eggs. They always taste so much better when they're reduced.

Being lazy is excellent, especially when it's sunny and warm and you can just slow down and relax.

I need cat food so will keep an eye out for reduced chocolate when out then. We may be lucky, and if not, it's not stuff we actually need.

I hope they do flourish. They looked very weird, I'm used to seeds and plug plants, not gnarled knots of bulbs.

It's being so glorious - sunny and warm, but not too hot with a lovely wee breeze... Perfect.


I was amazed that in Morrisons yesterday they had not even a Cadbury crème egg left! So odd!

It was so lovely! And now it's not at all. I'm even considering putting the heating on again for a bit. I know the warm weather was unusual for the time of year, but I miss it already.

It's strange how the shops are so different. I've been to Asda today and they've still got a full aisle of eggs, selling the extra big ones off for £2. And yet I was in other shops on Tuesday where you'd never have guessed Easter had just happened.

I did indulge in a chocolate bunny, though. And am enjoying slowly eating him. He's earless now *g*

You're so right, as the bulbs are growing beautifully. They looked so dried up I thought no way would anything grow, but I was wrong.
