Here are one cool tweet abt Sansa's final outfit that I think you will like.

Re the finale: I was spoiled beforehand (by choice) and, basically, was generally happy for House Stark's glow up.

Thank you for those links. I'd missed those details, and now I've seen them I'm even more starry-eyed about Sansa at the end. What with that and the Stark crest on the ships sail I'm very much in a YAY Stark place now. Well, apart from Bran the idiot. While overall I'm at ease with what happened to the Stark sibs, I very much yelled NOOOO! when he was made king of the six kingdoms. I mean, I get their reason but screw him with his why do you think I come all of this way.

Ha, that would have been good because Jon leaving Ghost behind sucked. But despite that, their reunion still makes my heart sing.

I wasn't thrilled abt Bran as king either. Because then, it's almost as if a character who didn't do much (he wasn't even in the entirety of S5) was rewarded for nothing doing much?

Like, yeah, he confirmed Jon's true parentage (but then that didn't go anywhere really) + Littlefinger's high creep factor (which wasn't a secret to begin with). But then, all he did was warg, sit by the Weirwood tree, and act like a weirdo.

Basically, he was more of a small plot device and less of a character once he became the Three-Eyed Raven so the show wanting us to cheer for him was ridic at best and insulting at worst.

Also, it hints at Bran letting all the bad things from S5 onwards (including the decimation of KL) so that he'd get the throne? And, on top of that, say "Why did you think I came all the way here [to KL]?" to Tyrion in the series finale?

So, yeah, basically, the GoT series finale was great for the Starks and some of the surviving folks. While, at the same time, is one of those endings you don't want to look too closely since then it begins to unravel the whole thing. XD

Exactly. And your icon. It's perfect and beautiful. I really want one of Jon and Ghost once we're away from spoiling anyone.

Bran as a character seemed to go nowhere. We had all this build up of him becoming the Three-Eyed Raven, told he could warg, look to the past and present and then nothing. I'm assuming that we're supposed to think he had this involved conversation with Tyrion that led to Tyrion going against Dani, but again, it wasn't shown so what was the point of him? To be bait for the NK? To sit there looking like a block of wood and disappearing when he wanted? He really isn't a character I could root for or support in any way and yet he had so much potential.

And I highly suspect he's going to be king in name only, with Tyrion doing all of the actual work and ruling. Though, he won't be the first king to do that I suppose.

I've been comparing this last season to an epic fic where the writer ran out of steam and hurried to finish, and as a result, has done a disservice to many of the characters. Like Arya, all those years of training for so little. I was sure she'd take Jaime's face to kill Cersei, but nope, rocks fall, all dead.

Saying all that, Bran aside I did love the ending for the Starks and I'm amazed that so many of them survived. I think many of the characters got much happier ends than I was expecting and are where they were always supposed to be -- and man, I sound like Bran the useless D:

Also, wow were these last few eps beautifully shot.

D&D threw out pretty much all of the build up (prophecies, the Night King, R+L=J, etc) out the window for this last season. And then, they sped the plot twice over.

This season should've been 10 episodes instead of 6. If only so that the plot would've had more space to develop in a more stable and organic way.

Like, I'm not surprised that Dany became the Mad Queen. She's a good conqueror but a shitty ruler (see Mereen). I was reading a thread of awesome GoT moments early Sunday morning and was nostalgic for the Dany I used to give thumbs up to.

Exactly. The fact that Jaime and Cersei died due to "rocks fall" was the height of ridiculousness. And then, Tyrion finding them perfectly preserved was just one more eye-rolling moment.

The ending was deffo way happier than I'd thought it'd be.

Sansa is beautiful and powerful and I think she's great.

Ghost is also great and is very loyal considering how he was left.

I have some issues with how the show ended but am extremely happy Sansa ended where she did. She deserved it.
