I've now signed up for both mini nano and no tags. For NT I suspect my prompts are glaringly obvious as me, but what can you do? I like what I like. I've also confused things by signing for mini nano at DW not realising I was only a member of the LJ comm. So now I'm waiting to be accepted to the DW version so I can actually log word counts.
James isn't back to work until tomorrow but he's at an almost full day first aid course today, so really his week off is over. I can't be sad as it's been a good week. We've had excellent walks in the autumn sunshine, went for a drive over the moors, went to the cinema twice, to Mog on the Tyne yesterday, spent the day with my niece and nephew, and I gave blood and was called an experienced donor which made me feel good.
Film-wise we saw Zombieland: Double Tap which I enjoyed loads. Also, Terminator: Dark Fate which I loved too, especially the fact the message was Dani was being hunted because she was the saviour of the world, and not because she was the mother of the saviour of the world. That was something I really liked.
There was sadness in the house and the AMC community when Will had to pull out of Strictly due to injury. Though I wasn't surprised, the footage of him lying on the floor was horrible to see. I did wince about the idea of him jumping off tables though. I know everyone with AMC has different issues, but knowing how fragile James' joints can be, repeated jumps like that didn't seem like a good idea.
Another sad thing. Kayleigh is working boxing day so we can't do our usual Lush sale. Even if she was working days we could have gone, but it's an overnight shift, so there's no way, especially as James is working too. I'm just coming to the end of the stash I got last boxing day, I've a few bubble bars left and that will keep me going until Christmas. Last year they sold the individual bars and shower gels etc within hours, but they had the gift sets left for a few days. So hopefully I can get through and get my hands on some of them.
I was very happy with the winner of Bake Off and happy enough with the winner of Australian Masterchef. So, that's two of my cooking shows done and dusted. It also meant I could finally Google and find out details about the judges of Australian Masterchef being sacked, as before I was worried about spoilers.
I need to get my words for the day done, then when James comes home we need to go shopping for fruit. We got most of what we needed at Company Shop yesterday, but all they had in fruit wise was grapes. I also need to have a rake in the garage as Kayleigh has decided she's having a tree this year and wants to see the one we took from mam's. I swear, she's turning into a pod person lately, she's planning on celebrating Christmas and did pumpkins for Halloween, and it's all because she's mega loved up.
And as I left this post for a while, words have been done, and I discovered GDocs can now display your word count at all times. Excellent news for those times when you want to sit in despair as you add two words every few hours.
I'm still thrilled about the MCR reunion and have very much enjoyed my flist catch up filled with squeeful posts.

Date: 2019-11-02 07:02 pm (UTC)Oh noes about possibly not going to your annual Lush sale! LBR, though, Lush should totally send a car over to yours so that you can shop til you drop, hahaha.
I heard that folks like the Zombieland sequel (which, as I understand it, was quite similar to the first movie? IDK, zombies are a hardcore squick for me.) As it happens, I'm going to go see Dark Fate tomorrow afternoon and can't wait.
Hooray for words done for today!!!!
Let me tell you, I totes cried (again) when I saw this:tweet from MCR official Twitter. UGH, SO MANY FEELINGS.

Date: 2019-11-03 02:55 pm (UTC)Ha, yes they should! I love the boxing day sale, and shopping to I drop is the perfect description. I could barely carry my bags the last times. But, it has lasted a long time.
The Zombieland sequel was pretty much the same as the first all over again, which didn't bother me as I like that kind of stupid humour and the breaking of the fourth wall. I hope you enjoy Dark Fate, though I'm sure you will as it's one of the best Terminator films for a while.
They're going to kill us all with FEELS!

Date: 2019-11-03 08:38 pm (UTC)That's indeed a very sad thing! However are you going to survive next year without the chance to binge on Lush?!! ;-)
You're writing, go you!! *waves encouraging pompoms*

I don't know! It's going to be hard, but I must be brave and push on through.
I am writing, it feels good to be doing so, too. No Tags and the reunion have been a good spur.

Date: 2019-11-09 06:17 pm (UTC)I KNOW!
Sadly they stopped the online sale here a few years ago. No doubt because of the constant crashing. Many a year I sat there refreshing when the sale was about to go live, and then cursed up a storm when it inevitably crashed in seconds.
