I'm sorry I didn't get online yesterday to say so, but I hope you had a fabulous day ♥

It was a busy day yesterday, not that there was anything stand out and that time consuming, but it all added together to take time. In the afternoon we went to Metrocentre had a mooch around the shops taking in the Christmas decorations and then went to the cinema to see Sorry I Missed you. I'm not actually sure if this is on wide release as it's one of those small British films made which is part-funded by Lottery money. It's set in the northeast, mostly Newcastle so it was good to see so many places we knew. But man, it was bleak, the whole story obviously based on Amazon delivery drivers and zero-hour contracts. It also had one of those ends that leave you sitting there and thinking the hell?

We also managed to find and buy a specific doll my youngest niece is desperately wanting -- and then somehow set the click and collect location away from the Metrocenter. Thankfully it's a pick up at a shop close to Company Shop, so we can pick it up next time we go there. But still, how we managed to do that I don't know. But still, another gift done.

Today we're meeting Corey for tea, but before that need to go help my SiL with a tip run and James has his first telephone counselling session. He had a really bad time at work a few days ago and while he's feeling better now OC Health have arranged talking therapy for him, which I think is the right thing to do. So, I'm going to go sort out more stuff in the spare room that can be taken to the tip while he does that.

We've got vague plans to maybe go to the cinema after meeting Corey as he lives close to Silverlink Odeon. I don't know if that will actually happen though if it does, great. If not, there's always tomorrow.

With the announcement of more shows and new merch for MCR, my hope that there will be a world tour continues to grow. Also, my respect that they managed to keep such big bookings completely secret remains. So many people must have known, and yet nothing was spilled.

It was a good day, but you're right, very busy. As was yesterday and today will be too. I'm looking forward to the weekend when I can actually catch up on here.

Fingers crossed. I do think we'll get a tour, and that will be brilliant.

I will be so crushed at this point if they don't come to Europe /o/ I'm already disappointed at their merch being boring and black, lol.

They need to come to Europe, I'm ready and waiting! And no doubt get frazzled needing tickets and then survive on beans when I buy them *g*

And yeah, what's with that merch? I know it's their new logo but it is a bit boring. Oh well, the way they're going with announcements lately I wouldn't be surprised if loads of merch suddenly appears.

I'm so glad I got that doll. It's all she asked for and I had visions of it selling out.

*g* I am currently trying to convince myself that buying tickets for every European show they do is neither necessary nor a good idea, and I should content myself with just one! xD or two I'm sure I'll remember I don't have the energy for this level of fannish investment once I'm back at work next week, but for now I'm just trying to resist the urge to dye my hair red and shriek the house down. Still. xD

Oooooh, I hope more merch appears, yes, and that some of it is things I want to wear *__* I am still fruitlessly searching for a replacement for my lovely raygun hoodie that I... got rid of for entirely understandable but now very frustrating reasons, and also I want enough MCR t-shirts for a full work week, because apparently I'm that kind of nerd. xD

Huh, I don't think I've heard about that film. At the same time, I do appreciate the heads up about its somberness.

Moviewise, after having to change my ticket twice, I'm finally going to go see JoJo Rabbit tomorrow afternoon. Might go see Parasite one more time as well. :P

Yays for finding your niece's present and for James getting therapy.

Someone on twitter theorized that MCR will tour Asia/Oceania in spring and then go to US and Europe in the summer. Which all makes sense to me? I do expect a tour (mayyyybe an album?) announcement v. soon.

Hopefully, we will all have enough time to prepare for some hardcore!ticket-buying, hahah.

I had a suspicion it was one of those indie kinds of films that wouldn't be released very far, and your comment supports that. I always find grimness based on reality harder to deal with than grimmness based on fantasy. I mean, the chances of an alien invasion are minuscule compared to someone having to take a zero-hour job and the relentless work wearing him down.

YAY! Sounds like Parasite was the hit you expected, too.

I was glad when we picked up that doll. All the other gifts are easily found, but I still shudder when I think back to the years of trying to find that years much have toy for kids. Seriously, for Corey it was Teletubbies, seeing grown adults fight over them sticks with you.

Oh, that theory makes a lot of sense to me too. An album. Be still my heart! But at this point, I wouldn't be surprised at anything they announce. They're former emo ninjas!

It really is. Looking back, apart from the cinema visit, I can't even say what we did that took so much time, and then the same happened yesterday.

The spare room is looking great. The only thing is, when we first started dating James bought me a teddy bear from House of Frazer, the kind that come with a date on its foot. He's continued to do so every year since, so I now have nearly 30 of the things. They make a big pile on the spare room bed.

I know, that's something I've always held onto for myself and have been surprised at seeing some people have already put up their trees. But for shopping places, it seems to get earlier and earlier each year.

We did have a nice tea. Then he needed to go grocery shopping so I went with him to do that, and paid for everything. A calculated move from the kidlet I think *g*

We did have a good time, nice food and I got to go grocery shopping with him. It turns out the session for James was just for scheduling yesterday and he'll be talking face to face. Which could be even better. So it's good it's been arranged so fast.
