Jan. 27th, 2020 06:42 pmToday the snowflake challenge is to say what tropes you love. I'll ponder that overnight and will answer h/c for the millionth time and answer tomorrow.
James was back for another ECG and bloods this morning. We were in and out pretty quick and after checking the results the doctor will phone if any changes need to be made to his meds. After we headed toward Beamish, the open-air museum, planning on renewing our ticket. Because at the site once you pay to go in once you can go as many times as you like for a full year after. Only to get there and see that during winter they're shut on a Monday. So, that was that.
We ended up having our walk at the small nature reserve in town. Not that we walked far, but did get to feed the swans and have a bit of a wander before giving up and going back to the warmth of the car.
I read a winterhawk, amerihawk, whatever the hell Clint/Bucky/Steve is last night Six Feet Underground. Demon possession, read the warnings, but a story that drew me in and kept my attention.

Date: 2020-01-27 07:08 pm (UTC)You've posted pics of Beamish before, yeah?
You could always talk about h/c from a different angle? Or talk about the sub-tropes within h/c? Does your appreciation of h/c shift according to fandom?
[I'm just riffing here, in hopes that it will spark something good for you.]

All very good questions, and thank you for your thoughts. I've been pondering now just need to answer already.

Date: 2020-01-29 06:38 pm (UTC)How very vexing! Still, it's always nice to get to feed swans.

Date: 2020-02-01 04:04 pm (UTC)I do enjoy feeding the swans. Though they remain a bit intimidating when in a big group.

Date: 2020-01-29 09:35 pm (UTC)LOL at your "I don't know what this OT3 is called but here you go" line. FWIW, I have 0 idea of its portmanteau. Tho, at this rate, it could be something as ridic as Star-Spangled WinterHawk for all I know. XD

Well, whatever the actual name is it will never be anything but Star-Spangled Winterhawk to me :D

Date: 2020-01-31 08:23 am (UTC)That's a pity about the museum. I hope the ticket renewal (and the visit itself) will be possible another time. Feeding swans sounds like a cool replacement though!

Date: 2020-02-01 03:55 pm (UTC)That is very true.
Hopefully, we'll get the ticket renewed some time this week. It depends on the weather really. It's no fun hitting an open-air museum in the rain.
