turpsI was talking to Kayleigh yesterday and she asked if I had Valentine's plans, and that she and Lucy were sharing a Tesco meal for two as their Valentine's day celebration. I told her mine was using the Valentine's offer at Subway which meant if you bought one sub you got another one free, and then had gone to the cinema to see Sonic the Hedgehog. Which obviously meant my plans were superior *g*
Sonic was okay, not the best film I've seen but not the worst either. Plus, the guy sitting behind us was loving it, laughing so hard, and hearing that made me smile too.
Today was a quick trip to get cat litter, but home quickly as storm Dennis was supposed to hit. It's windy and rainy but not excessively so as of yet, but the satellite signal has dropped a few times which is annoying. It better not happen this evening because it's The Masked Singer final and I need to know who is under the last few masks.
I've posted the snowflake drabble responses at A03 here. I've also been checking out A03 for Picard, and specifically Rios fic, and it's starting to trickle in, most featuring his holograms. Though as of yet no one has gone in a sexual direction. I was amused when reading comments a lot of the commenters had an icon featuring Aramis, so I give a silent fist bump to my fellow Aramis fans and mentally urge them to write some self!cest already.
And wow at the preview for next week. That is a feather Aramis would be proud of.

Yeah it’s so windy and has been raining here too! I’m gonna be watching it too, I started watching it a few weeks back and can see the appeal.

Yeah I checked to see if there was fic and was surprised about the lack of Rios fic but here’s hoping.

Date: 2020-02-15 07:35 pm (UTC)Yeah, I was talking to the cinema staff and they mentioned how the first Sonic looked terrible, and looking at photos I can see why. So I'm glad they changed him. But the film itself was nothing remarkable, however, I did get that nostalgic rush at the sound of rings being collected. I played Sonic so much when I was young, so that sound will always stick with me.
I'm just replying to a few comments then I'm going to go watch as I hate adverts so need a bit time to go by so I can fast forward them. But I'm looking forward to the final unmaskings.
I suppose due to the series being a little slower at first it's taking time for people to get to know the characters and write fic. But, I think it has the potential to be a big fandom.
I liked the new ep, and the addition of yet another hologram was excellent. Elron was a good addition and I liked his whole backstory, though what Picard thought would happen when he went into that bar I don't know. It was obvious he wouldn't be served.
As for Narissa and Narek, the cest for that went beyond subtle to blatant. I mean, waking your brother by caressing him, it was like Game of Thrones in space.
And of course, Seven! So much love for her appearing like that.
Finally, yep, on Tuesday.
Now I'm off to watch some masked singers :D

Date: 2020-02-15 07:27 pm (UTC)Although I played a lot of Sonic The Hedgehog when I was a teenager and I did think the trailer was cute, there's really nothing abt the movie that makes me think I should go see it NOW.
Here's hoping that you got watch the Masked Singer final. Season 3 has begun over here and I'm quite into it. The one change I've made is that I'm not going to read articles because I've noticed that doing that tends to snuff my enthusiasm and/or raise my expectations in a weird way.

Date: 2020-02-15 07:40 pm (UTC)No, Sonic is another film I wouldn't rush to see if it wasn't for having the unlimited card. As it was, it was entertaining enough and I really enjoyed the nostalgia rush every time he collected rings and it made the collecting sound.
I'm just about to go watch the final now, it started about 30 minutes ago which means I've left enough time to fast forward through the adverts. As of now, I've got solid guesses for two of the finalists, but the last one I'm clueless about. So, I'm eager to see who it actually is.
I hope you continue to enjoy your season, too.

Thankfully I did get to watch the full final. It did look a bit dicey for a while but the signal stayed.
