First off, shadowhive has written me a wonderful birthday fic and totally surprised me by making it for Picard. I've been saying how Rios and his holograms really needed to be written in a sexual way, and Shadowhive delivered exactly that Relief. Thank you so much, Stuie, you give the best gifts ♥

Also, thank you to sperrywink for my Winterhawk funkos, and the card with the very lovely message inside. Not going to lie, today hasn't been the happiest of days but you helped a lot with what you said. And turlough too for the soft and lovely scarf that so beautifully matches the penguin mittens she made me previously. You're both fantastic ♥ You can see those gifts here.

Thank you to dine for the card, which wasn't specifically a birthday card, but as it arrived today I'm classing it as being so ♥

Thank you too to everyone that sent emails and direct messages. It makes me smile that people remembered and took the time to send a greeting.

Other than that, I've been out to eat with James and didn't make the best choice, picking something new that wasn't bad, just not what I was wanting. But did bring home some cake the size of my head which will last for days. Been to Pauline's and my In-laws, and got money from my in-laws and a reed diffuser from Pauline that will need to be regifted because of the cats. My brother also gave me money so I suspect in the next few days I'll be heading off to a certain place to stock up on bubbly products.

I loved it, you know how much I was wanting some self cest fic, and you delivered it. So how could I not love it? Plus, other people get to love and enjoy it too so it's a win-win.

The scarf is very cosy and I've been wearing it today, and the Funkos will be heading to the Funko shelf soon.

I do have cake and intend to enjoy it.

We're kind of swimming in gifts, though. So we opened some yesterday and some today. Friday there's a tiny celebration with two other kidlets and their parents, then on Saturday afternoon the grandparents come for coffee, cake and yet more gift-giving ;).
Thankfully, it's a good spread of mostly clothes, things to use in everyday life and edibles, so it's not too overwhelming for the kidlet.

ETA: And books! The kidlet loves those.

That sounds like an excellent day, and I'm sure the parents of many kidlets could understand the swimming in gifts thing.

It's a good idea to spread out the celebrations, so I hope you all enjoyed the one today and tomorrow.
