I caved like a cave'ey thing and joined h/c bingo's mini-challenge. Saw my four prompts and got excited as they could easily match the winterhawk story. Then remembered that it's a crossover challenge. So many sighs. And also, brb, off to consider shoehorning a character from another fandom into the story.
No, seriously, I wouldn't do that, especially as I've got four nice prompts, panic attacks, bruises, forced to uncover past trauma and magical trouble. I'm sure I can think of a crossover that will use one of those.
We needed some actual human grocery shopping today, so went to Company. I wasn't sure if they'd have everything we needed due to it being a surplus store, but they did. It seems McDonald's donated a lot of their surplus stock to the company so we now have big bags of spicy chicken nuggets shoved in the freezer plus everything else we needed. Amazingly, they even had licky licks today for Murphy so I got some more of those for him. It did take well over half an hour to get in, but the queue was spaced well and everyone was cheerful enough, plus, the one in one out meant it was actually easier to shop inside than it is usually.
After getting home and having the daily battle to give the cats their meds, I went into the garden and tidied a bit, then sat in the rocking chair and soaked in the sun. It was weird because of the silence. Normally you'd hear music on a lovely sunny day like this, or people walking around and kids playing. But this afternoon there was nothing. But, a good thing was some of the seeds have started to sprout in the greenhouse. So, life goes on even if it doesn't seem so at times.
