It's another warm sunny day today, so like many days previously I've been pottering in the garden and reading my book.

The tomato plants are thriving and I'm going to repot some of the seedlings into the next size pots once I post this. I've also strung up more solar lights around the greenhouse earlier, so the garden should look extra twinkly tonight.

I've finished the last season of This Is Us and now have to decide if I download the one that's being broadcast now or wait for it to appear on Prime. Not that I'm lacking other tv shows to watch, especially as we've just signed for Disney Plus.

I made banana and chocolate muffins earlier and very tasty they were too. I've the ingredients to make more except I don't have any muffin cases left which is an issue. Maybe I'll have to make a giant one in the loaf pan. Or would that just be banana bread?

I forgot to actually link to my winterhawk story in my last post. So if you're in the mood to read a short nearly 7k winterhawk bodyswap that was written for a h/c bingo prompt but is actually probably more humour than h/c and with lots of Lucky, well feel free. I love seeing the lights in the garden. I'm looking forward to seeing the greenhouse lit up tonight. And that I've put them on the correct mode. I love static, flashing not so much.

Sadly for me, the rain only lasted a day. It's back to EXTRA!SUNNY today. OTOH, I'm glad to be indoors because I'm NOT in the mood for heat & humidity. OTOH, however, it is nice to have the curtains open so the sunlight can filter in.

How long does it take for the new eps to upload to Prime? Like, with F/X shows, frex, anything new is available on Hulu the next morning. Also, have fun with D+. I managed to get the yearlong subscription (which is a good thing as I haven't watched anything on it, but I would've hated to cancel the service.)

Your comment reminded me of some trollish article in the Wall Street Journal abt how quickly USians are going thru new content due to the pandemic. Which is a RIDIC STATEMENT TO MAKE given that there are so many streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Apple+, Disney+, Shudder, the Criterion Collection, Mubi, etc). If there's one thing ppl are not going to run out at least until the end of 2021, i.e. next year, is content. And that's only if they're watching, like, 20 hrs of stuff every day.

Oooh, I've been tempted to attempt baking bread. Tho I'm also v. intimidated by the process. Some folks gave me links to simpler recipes. Maybe I'll try one of them soon?

Sadly, for This Is Us it was a year after the season finished on US TV before it came to Prime. I assume it must depend on the show as Picard was always there the day after it was broadcast in the US. But, the show didn't end on a cliffhanger or anything and I don't have a desperate need to watch this season. However, it is on a download comm I'm a member of so wouldn't be a big issue. So you know, still a bit torn here *g*

I'm having fun checking out the D+ content though have to admit I ended up watching some cooking show the other day. Out of all the great content, I ended with that. But it was mindlessly entertaining.

Good luck with the bread. I'm not a natural baker at all, in fact the muffins were aimed at kids. But they didn't poison anyone and tasted good so I'm calling it a win.

Oh, Ihni that it takes that long for the new season eps to get onto Prime. I guess folks over here use the network's app to watch any missed eps or maybe they check them out on Hulu (since it's a regular network show and not, like, Showtime or HBO.)

IIRC, the last time I watched anything on D+ was the Mandalorian's season finale last year...#OOOPS TBH, there isn't much on the original D+ content that has caught my eye and I'm a little burned out on the MCU movies. In the sense that I've watched some of them countless times and I'm mainly YEARNING for the MCU D+ shows to premiere already. (And also crossing all crossables that that D+ will keep the original schedule of August and December for F&WS and Wandavision instead of pushing them back to 2021.)

Re baking: I can make banana bread from scratch and extremely simple stuff like upside pineapple cake and apple crumble. BUT those things are way different than baking actual!bread.

Ours has turned today, too. Rainy grey and cold. It's a huge contrast from a few days ago.

The muffins were lovely. I was going to make more but I need butter so they'll have to wait.
