It's the first of July, and that means it's the start of the Sunshine challenge.



Apparently they're going for colours for the challenge this year, the first one being Red. My initial thoughts is to write drabbles for my fandoms based on that prompt, so will be doing that over today. Or at least, that's the plan right now, I may end up aimlessly surfing, reading, pottering in the garden or even, watching tv. Which brings me to...

July also means Christmas in July is back on Movies 24 \o/ I've already watched my first one this morning while having breakfast so am feeling quite cheerful. I know a lot of people get grumpy about showing Christmas films in summer but they make me happy so I'll be watching many of them I'm sure. Funnily enough, I'd watched an episode of The Legends of Tomorrow beforehand and the actor who plays Ava is the main person in the film, so that was an abrupt change.

I was looking through FB and saw Heinz have made kits to make ice cream based on sauces like ketchup, mayo, bbq, salad cream and saucy sauce. I like ice cream, I like sauces, but the thoughts of them combined is turning my stomach. I wondered if it was some kind of a joke but checking the link, nope. They even have recipes to make the concoctions. If you're tempted, you can check them out here.

I suspect a writing challenge will happen at some point, but the more fic the better I say. So it'll be good if you do write. I've done bandom and popslash up to now :)

I'm sure by the end of the month all the films will have blended together. But I'll enjoy watching.

The thought of ketchup ice cream would match the theme, but it makes me want to gag. Why? I don't understand.

absolutely nothing about those ice cream kits sounds appealing - there are flavours that just don't belong in ice cream, and those definitely qualify!

Every comment I've seen on the condiment ice cream has been negative. I honestly don't know what they were thinking. Surely it can't be even close to a good seller.
