Memeing like crazy tonight sorry.

Gacked from all over the place.

I know very little about some of the people who read my journal. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "oh, her. she's that weirdo." (ahahahaha...kidding. I say that already.)

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well.

Anyone up for it?

ETA: Feel free to tell me something even if you don't have me friended or aren't friended by me. I'm nosey and will still be interested *g*

And while I'm on this meme kick....hug me!

*HUGS* TOTAL!
give turps33 more *HUGS*

Get hugs of your own

When I was 9 I cracked my head open while trying to impress my brother and his friend. They laughed at me before they went to get help.

I love my pets. I'm the type of person who would cry over a dead animal on the road but have no qualms about hitting a child. It may sound really bad, but I'm just not that fond of children. My pets are my life. My pets *are* my children.

It doesn't sound bad. Everyone's different and that's just how it should be. If everyone wanted kids in this world we'd be in trouble.

I love collecting conkers. Shiny. I have three on my desk now, sadly no longer glossy and lovely.
I used to play the clarinet and saxophone.
I live near Leicester.

I always let my nail polish chip away to nothing instead of taking it off with polish remover. I think it looks cool.

I have to admit that's weird *g*

Do you do the same for a fanfic?

Date: 2003-12-12 06:07 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] estrella30.livejournal.com
LOL, most of the time, yes. But that's more because I'm a happy ending sucker too. I have to verify that I see happiness before I invest any time in a fic.

God, I'm a sap.

And you're not a sap at all. You just like what you like and that's fine.

LOL, in some stories I am. But I like mush as much as the next person. It's just the TS series I'm writing now is pretty unhappy at the moment. But it will be happy...in about 5 chapters time ;)

I hear that.

Not so much on LJ, though even on here I worry about commenting sometimes. But in RL I'm just the sadsack that stays in the corner.

I hope you do get over it.

I'm a single mom with a 12 year old son. I teach 7th grade. There are days when I don't say more than "hi" to anyone over the age of twenty-one.

I've a 7 year old son so I know what it's like to talk kid all the time. But then I know James will always come home at night so it's not so bad.

I bet you're a good mom though.

I try. Some days I succeed better than others. I'm still fairly new at it (he only came to live with me about 18 months ago), so I'm hoping it gets easier with time.

Ummmmm.....

*thinks really hard*

My cat is crazier than I am!

Which, if you know me, is pretty darn crazy.

Actually, my family and I have been dealing with various psychological issues throughout my life, and I find it so fascinating I've become something of an analytical therapist. I probably could have pursued a career in psychiatry, except I'm WAY too lazy to go through that much schooling, and I knew it.

I'm not surprised your cat is crazy living with you ;)

I think you would be good in psychiatry. But you can only do what you're capable of doing, and you know your limitations, laziness being one of them.

Man, that sounds like a mean thing to say, it's a good job you said it first *g*

before I got online, my most time-consuming hobby was cross-stitching. since I started reading slash online, I've accomplished damn little, cause I'm so busy reading slash and keeping up with LJ.

LOL, snap!

I've bags of half done cross-stitch projects. I used to love just sitting and creating a scene with tiny stitches.

Now I spend all my time online and the cross-stitching is pushed to the back of a cupboard.

this is so me - I've piles of pattern books and magazines, boxes of supplies and completed/partially-completed projects, and other things lurking in the spare room cupboard.

I am discovering that I do miss it some, so think maybe after the holidays I'll get going on something again.

Hopefully, you don't already know about that one! lol

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a little boy and wished for a fairy to come and grant me my wish. It wasn't that I was unhappy being a girl, or didn't feel like I *was* a girl, I just thought being a boy was neater. Go figures *g* Feminists all around the world must be screaming at that! lol But hey, I was a kid!

It's a cool thing to know!

I never wanted to be a boy, far too much of a girlie girl with long hair and long dresses, not much has changed really lol.

Ah ah, so you didn't know already. Good thing. Not that I don't like to repeat myself, mind you lol

I had long (and curly hair) until I was six. Then I had them cut *really* short... and then started to grow them when I was in junior high school. The curls came back of course. I like them, don't get me wrong, but they're just impossible to comb or to 'work' with, ya know? Just ask Babycakes, and she'll tell you how obsessed I am with my hair cut. I like mine now, but man, for the longest time it just sucked! I swear! lol

And the last time I wore a dress was when I was nine, at my godmother's wedding. Before that, I guess the last time was when I six for my mother's thirtieth birthday. I hate dress with a passion. Always hated them. My mom tried to force me to wear them when I was thee, then tried to compromise, one day a skirt, two days pants, then she realized I really hated it, so just let me wear pants and only pants.

Hmm, well, no there was *one* dress I sorta liked. Only one, and even that one, I just wore it rarely *g*

I once broke (like beyond repair) a tv remote by throwing it at the tv because I didn't agree with the results of an Academy Awards. I'm banned from watching any awards shows now.
