turpsI think my ability to write TS has gone on holiday. I'm struggling to get past a point in my story and it's not as if it's an important point, it's just...argh!!!
I've the thing plotted out, I can *see* the words in my head but I just can't get them onto the page.I think it's time to throw this out to my betas and hope they give me enough of an ass kicking to get over this bump.
In RL it looks like my Sky system is on it's way out. It keeps freezing and I'm having to reboot the whole thing to watch tv again. I've been considering getting Sky Plus for a while now, but they're so damn expensive. I don't know if I can justify the cost. Even if we could it would have to wait until the new year. So please satelitte system, don't give up the ghost until then!
ETA: If James mentions the JC thing one more time I'm going to kick him! Once, I may have mentioned JC's name in bed when his song came on the radio. Now James is convinced I have this huge 'thing' about him and keeps mentioning him all the time. 'If JC wanted a cup of tea you'd make it.' etc. Grrrrrr, at least get the right man if you're going to drive me insane like that!

There is only one way to deal with that -- say "Yeah, you're so right, I totally would. Hey, if I make you tea every morning, can I call you Chris in bed?"
It's like training dogs. You need the right blend of positive and negative reinforcement. If it doesn't work, try smacking him with a rolled-up newspaper. Although, not knowing James at all, I have no idea whether that would count as positive or negative ;-)

You know, I serously thought about this and what helps *me* when I reach that point. Usually it works if I put a thick, fat, black line in the file after the point I can't get over and continue with a point I can write.
Then going back later to this line, looking what I've writen before and after this line, usually helps me working out what should replace this line. *g*
Funny method, but most of the time it works. *g*
