Snowflake Challenge Day 2
Jan. 3rd, 2021 06:00 pmChallenge #2
In your own space (or their own space) interact with someone new. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. No need to leave a link for this one, but if you’d like to invite others to join the conversation, please do leave one.
I'm going to call this one done as I've been talking in comments and have also friended two new people, so yeah, done. But just to note, I'm always up for comment chatting, either here or elsewhere, so don't be shy about leaving a comment if you feel the urge.
It's been a horrible, wet cold day today complete with sleety showers and hailstones. I was glad to get home after going for some grocery shopping. While out I picked up a sandwich from Subway and tried the new plant TLC (tastes like chicken ) option and enjoyed it, though by the time we were home my tiger bread was soggy. They'd also discounted some dinner services in Asda so I bought one with giraffes on so now have an actual matching set of plates, side plates and bowls.
My bath and fic habit left me a bit wrinkly and cold last night. I'd read a few new short Musketeer stories, some new short winterhawks then saw Flawedamythyst had written a bonus chapter to her An End to Forever winterhawk story. Instead of just reading that chapter I decided to do a whole reread rationalising to myself 65k wasn't that long a read. Of course, it was and the water was tepid when I finally got out, but it was worth it.
And if you also like The Old Guard film, they also posted a winterhawk cross which is pretty great Sniper Bros

Date: 2021-01-04 07:31 am (UTC)It's why I never care about replies to my own comments.
Self-care is always the most important thing and that includes taking things at your own pace ♥

Date: 2021-01-04 07:28 am (UTC)It's great when you get engrossed in a good fic, not so much when you end it shivering *g*

Date: 2021-01-04 03:40 am (UTC)See, reading late at night in bed instead of sleeping is at least not subject to the risk of wrinkling. :p But as long as you keep your head above water!

Date: 2021-01-04 07:29 am (UTC)That is very true, reading in bed is much more comfortable than a tepid bath *g*

You're welcome. It's a good fic.

Date: 2021-01-04 06:49 pm (UTC)Your giraffe dinner set sounds so much fun. Migh we get a photo?
I don't think I could ever convince myself 65k wasn't a long read, no matter how much I wanted to read it. I've gotten to be such a slow reader lately. I'm glad you enjoyed the story despite it turning you both wrinkly and cold!

Date: 2021-01-05 01:13 pm (UTC)Exactly!
I'll take a photo and post it for you :)
I honestly don't know what I was thinking in terms of the 65k story, especially as I'd read short ones before. I deserved to be wrinkly and cold.
