Challenge #3: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

In your own space, tell us who, from one of your fandoms, would you most want to have dinner with (or tea, or a random afternoon visit), And why? Well, obviously it will have to be Aramis so I can ask him about his diet of cheese, apples and bone broth.

No, seriously, while I am going to pick Aramis, it's not to discuss his diet. I just think it would be interesting to talk to someone from so far in the past, and someone with such an interesting character. So religious and yet playing the field, reckless and carefree, loyal yet infuriating. I bet he could tell some fantastic stories and maybe let me try on his hat.

This actually ties into a comment brandywine gave a few days ago about a boyband and how they'd show Aramis modern life. Well, I could show him how to cook without the aid of an open fire, that books could be loaded onto an e-reader, then maybe the delights of Netflix for when we'd finished with tea and just hanging out after. I'd put a blanket on the couch though, I suspect all that leather isn't the cleanest.

I'd ask him all about Athos, d'Artagnan and Porthos and about his friendship with Marsac. And how he keeps his hair so shiny without the aid of shampoo. All the important things.



More good news for today, my Lush order arrived. It came with tracking so I could stalk the delivery person, and watch as they inevitably got lost looking for my house when they got on the estate. But now I have Santa bubble bars and sleepy lotion and a sleepy bubble bar and sleepy soap and I'm eager for my bath to test the combo.

Also, Lush's packaging is amazing, I love how you can run hot water over the packing peanuts and they just dissolve away. It's like magic.

I've seen the show, I don't want old blood, mud and years worth of sweat on my couch!

It would be fun, especially as if I got all awkward, which would be inevitable, I'd just turn on the TV and share that magic.

The thing is, he definitely has the charm and the sparkle to make it in modern boybandom. Like, the more I think about it, the less jokey it seems. (But also, yes -- I wanna know all the shiny hair secrets!)

He's even got the crucifix thing going on like Justin, and of course the leather pants. Obviously made to be in a boyband.

I mean, how does he do it? A quick dip in a stream every now and then should not lead to glossy shiny hair like that!

Lol, don't you just love stalking the delivery person! I did the same with my cat food under this morning. I don't trust them quite as much since they tried to deliver one of my orders to the village school on a Sunday! Luckily they weren't a 'dump it somewhere' firm and took it back to try again on Monday when they came to the right place.

Lush' packaging sounds good, I've never come across those!

Aramis would be such a cool person to meet with, it would be so Interesting!

I'm always pleased when I get a delivery with tracking that actually works well and how it should. At least that way, like with your cat food delivery, you can keep track in case something goes wrong.

I hope you had enough cat food to last until the delivery came!

I had to look up the Lush packaging as it looked plastic-like which didn't seem right for their firm. But nope, they're made of some kind of corn starch which will either decompose outside or just melt away in hot water. It really was cool.

Yeah, I've enjoyed thinking about meeting Aramis. It was a good challenge for things like that.

Yes, I can't complain as the correct food arrived the very next day! I just have a large bag of rabbit bedding stuck in the shed until the shelter opens again and I can donate it!

Those lush packaging peanuts sound brilliant, it does make me wonder about some of the Ines I've had recently, they were a different texture but I just assume they weren't recyclable. I must make sure I try them under the hot tap next time, lol.
