We went to the beach first thing this morning for a walk and saw the below sign had been put up since the last time we were there.



I'd also posted a photo of James on the beach in the same post and my brother sent me a direct message that included James holding a badly drawn chainsaw.





But yes, if you're planning a visit to Roker beach please remember to leave your chainsaw at home.

I also saw today that in a few months, Tim Hortons are opening two venues within easy driving distance to where I live, one right next to the Asda I shop at. I've only heard of the place via TV and flist friends but am always up for checking out a new coffee place.

I was highly amused when my brother sent that picture. You're right, the driftwood wouldn't stand a chance!

Though he'd have to do it on the down-low what with the being illegal and everything.

I'd love to know the full story too. They had a few signs along that stretch of beach, so something had obviously happened.

It was lovely to walk by the sea. We were there before nine so it was mostly dog walkers and a few early rising parents with young kids, so not crowded at all.

I always like to try places I've only heard of via my list or TV shows. I remember when Subway arrived here, it seemed so strange and new. Now they're everywhere.

As I am a coffee lover I'm extra eager to give them a go *g*

I wish I knew! Obviously, something happened at the beach, but I suspect it's something we'll never actually know.

I laughed so much when my brother sent that pic. He's never done anything like that before, so it was the last thing I expected when I saw his message.
