turpsThe weather is supposed to be terrible from tomorrow, so we headed out for a drive to the moors today. It was such a lovely drive, sun and showers and we got to see all the lambs and pick up some free-range eggs from the honesty box on a farm wall. We drove close to my aunt's house on the way back and considered popping in to see her, but it would have meant staying in her garden to do so and I really didn't want her out in the cold and rain. Talking about it I realised I haven't seen her since my birthday last year, so that's a good year and a few months, but we can wait a few more weeks until we'll be allowed inside her house.
I'm still reading Downton Abbey fic and recently started on the other AUs of the person who wrote the amazing Soldier's Heart. First I powered through But Among Our Own Selves We'll Be Free, or, Thomas and the Island of the Gays which was pretty great and am now nearly finished the first chapter of the first story of the Sentinel AU series Guide Thomas. Again, it's a really long one at nearly 134k but man, I'm enjoying it.
That will keep me going while I wait for The Musketeers story that I'm interested in to be completely posted, it's being done so one chapter a day but I know I'll get impatient if I read now. Talking of which, look at another of the new iconskat_lair made for me. I don't actually have an OTP in Musketeers, I'll read any pairing, gen, slash, het, twosome, threesome, moresome as long as Aramis is front and centre. But still, look at that look between Aramis and Porthos, the icon is perfect. Again, sorry LJ people who won't see, I don't have the slots to upload more icons on there.

You've just made me laugh lots because recently I watched a travel show by a comedian who did just that, went to the moors and danced in a floaty dress while lip-synching Wuthering Heights with the whirling arms and wide eyes.
Wish I'd remembered and I could have given it a go, too *g*
